Breakdown Engine hoist?
^^THAT is not very strong looking^^ Can you do any welding / fab? I would think "the best" of the HF type, and that type is copied and sold elsewhere, you could easily make it more "take apart" with some work
What little I've hauled mine, I pull the cylinder, the arm, and the leg extensions and toss those in the bed, then I take what's left and wrestle it up on a little flatbed I made out of a free former tent trailer.
Could you maybe get/ build a ramp and small winch if necessary, and just drag the base part up the ramp into the bed?
I am 77 and certainly understand, these days, about losing your "manhood." I have lost a LOT since converting the Ram/ Cummins to 4WD!!!!
