In the last several weeks I had two people tell me my left brake light was out. The first time I drove it home and checked all the lights and they were good. Yesterday at work same thing. I checked them and sure enough the left brake light was not working. Turned on the taillights and the brake light started working. Turned off the tailights and the brake light still works?? What would cause the brake light not to work until the taillights are on and then cause it to work for sometime until it decides not to work? A intermittent ground problem?

I'm no electrician but my passenger side front turn signal has a similar promblem and it seems to be a bad wire cause if you turn the socket so the slack in the wire arcs upwards it works fine but when it stops working the wire is always sagging downward so i'm gonna try a new pigtail I guess good luck with yours

I had a similar problem after installing repop tailights. In my case I had to bend the tailight socket clips for better ground contact to the tailight housing. The new bezels have a slightly larger hole where the the tailight clips in to them. That solved my issue.

Make sure the turn signal is returning all the way to center after a turn.
If the cam is worn in the turn signal switch and it dosn't return all the way
the brake light on that side won't work.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to investigate today and see what I come up with. I don't think it's the turn signal cam since my steering column is less than two years old.
