Hey there guys,

trying to decide what look i want for my scamp and am having trouble picking between black steelies or aluminum wheels like draglites (orignally wanted prostars but they dont have the backspacing i need for my minitub)...anyways, i hear about aluminum wheels taking a 10th off of a timeslip, but i would like to know what you guys have to say about that...the reason im trying to decide now is because its kind of dictating the colour i paint my scamp (which will be in two weeks) so i need to think fast!:toothy10: I think steelies look all business with a fat tire and are definatly unique, but i have always been partial to the aluminum drag look- i guess it will come down to performance for me, so which is better, or will it not make a big difference?

I will get my vote in first and be all business "the Steelies"

Aluminum for me. They are a lot lighter than the steelies. "A LOT"!

car craft did a test of centerlines versus steelies on a chevelle and they only picked up a tenth switching...thats making me consider that they really wont hamper my times by much

Use the steelies for cruising and have another set of wheels for the strip. It 'aint cheap but it's a solution.

I say steelies, that's the direction I'm heading with my Duster.

im going to stick with one setup only because of cost...i cant afford to have two sets of wheels, plus the wheels i choose will determine the whole look of the car for me, which will in turn dictate my colour choice

Put aluminum on the front and steelies on the back painted body color no caps just chrome lugs, I think thats the meanist look around. But thats just my opinion.
