Aside from tearing it apart, is there any other way?

do you mean 8 and 1/4?

jack up the car, mark your one tire with a peice of chalk and line it up with something, like the floor. then turn your drive shaft till the mark on your wheel meets up again. if you turn it 3 and 3/4 of a turn, u probly have 3:73...if i turn it 3 and a tiny bit. means you probly have 3:07....

cheak the tag?

Boy those ratio numbers sure sound like chivy numbers Mopars are 276, 291 323 ,355, 391, If your rear is the orig, A bodys with V8's and 7 1/4's were 291.If it was a 6 it had a 323 all the others were options .If you are lucky and you find a sure grip tag on it you scored. They made these too . I have one (323) in my barracuda . Weirdest thing,it came out of a 65 Dart with a 170 cu in slant automatic.

So, I just got the 2.91s, then.... How hard would it be to change it out to the 3.55s?

Just upgrade the rear end.... you most likely have a 2.94. I've never heard of Mopar putting a 2.91 gear in...
