Hi Every one, Question who has a garage with say 8,9 10 foot walls and has a hoist/lift that they use regularly? I'm looking at buying a lift for my garage (9 foot wall) and was thinking about a mid lift I know about the blockng of the under side due to the desine but was wondering about the stability factor as I need this to be very safe. Please let me now your thoughts and pics if possible.

I am not sure what you mean about a midlift....I have one that you drive over, and pick up but only goes 3 ft high, which is ok but getting to trans and exhaust sucks...........you want a twin post lift.....and go 10 ft or 12 ft if you afford it....no lower than 10 ft....or a drive on lift

Seems manufacture would tell you of mininum height. Heck if I could`nt stand under it I could`nt justify expense. And that would probably be a 12' mininum. I have a 10' ceiling and use a homemade gantry hoist. Anything else 4 jackstands. If you have 2 or more bays, go for it. With my 1 bay, it would probably be in the way, most of the time. ultimately your call.
