Well the tank on the 73 is full of varnish from sitting so long .Since we live on a hill and getting the car in and out of the garage is darn near impossible without involving all the neighbors. I rigged this up just to move it around for the day. Definetly not the safest thing . I just had to take a pic. Actually the slant 6 runs pretty good when it's sipping fresh gasoline!

How did you know ? I woulda used it I just don't want the next batch of beer to taste too much like gasoline !
 
Sticking with the Tiger theme

My hillbilly tech for moving cars around is a 1 qt Gatorade bottle, 1/2" hole in lid and a hose stuck in it. Wired to the core support on the pass side.

That was My first thought but wayyy too close to the ignition system for Me !
I saw plenty of guys running small fuel containers in the drivers compartment back when I was involved with dirt track racing .Crazy stuff !
On a side note the engine idled for quite a few minutes on what was left in the carb and the four feet of fuel line !
 
In one of my '65 Valiants I had a five gallon steel tank on the floor of the front passenger side, with a 1/2 inch hole drilled in the firewall to run a line to the fuel pump. Had it that way for over a year until I got around to installing a new tank.
 
Here is my backwoods fuel cell.
I had to rig this up to run my 340 Duster after sitting in tall grass for 18 years rusted out the tank and fuel lines(not that I would put fuel in the tank regardless)

Sitting all thoes years I only had to file the points and prime the carb
