Check out this engine bay

My opinion, it looks to street roddish if that is a word. I think you should leave the shaved firewall for a different crowd. Just not my cup of tea.

If they went to so much trouble to shave the firewall and put on all that pretty paint, at least they coulda done something with that rusty brake master cylinder.
Also check out the inner wheel houses in the trunk and the lack of heater.

I'm confused. The callouts say 340, the air cleaner says 360, but in the description it says 318.

as for no wiper motor,, i have seen a swinger with a smooth fire wall,,it had a fake fire wall in front and the wiper motor was hidden behind,,

i like that look that is what i am going to do to my barracuda when i get the time to pull the motor out,,,new wiring all hidden,,all electronics under the dash where the heater and fresh air box is currently,,

On pats demon we put the wiper motor inside the car,it had to be mounted upside down and with motor facing rear of the car to make it work properly.

Anybody but me notice the 73 up doors? The gauge cluster looks newer too. Perhaps all the interior came from some other 73-76 parts car. dunno. Probally one of those cars that starts looking rough, when you see it in person..

It looks good but a little off all at the same time.

I agree...I like a clean engine compartment, especially a relocated battery, but when I first saw this, I wasn't sure if it was an unfinished engine swap or what.

Sure would be easy to keep clean!

Dodgeracer43,
Dusters and Demons always had 1 piece glass in the doors. And yes, I wish I had vent windows.....hate it when the rain drops in when you crack the window.

Also notice lack of fan shroud.

Was wondering if someone was gonna notice this. Maybe he just liked the looks of the '73 up with the plastic pieces at the top of doors? As someone pointed out, though, why go through all the time to shave the firewall, hide the electronics and then not take the same time with the trunk? And if you're not going to pop the trunk at shows, so say screw it, why pop the hood with the 340 callouts and a decal on the engine for 360 all on a 318? Maybe the guy had one thing specifically in mind: a clean engine compartment and then was very confused on the rest? Not bad, but really not my thing, either. Set a "theme" and carry it through...

I like the clean look, looks custom and different,. Nothing wrong with that, now they have wiper motors and heating/air units that will hide inside. I like what he did but like you all said he didn't finish it out but time will tell.

Certainly a lot of work was done for looks. I like the clean look also. This car still has drum brakes so I'm curious about what other corners were cut.

and the dome light looks like it isn't mounted properly.
