If Not an A-bodie Than What Would it be?

My first car was a 4 door with the wide block 318.
You don't see too many of those Wide Block 318's anymore... saw one this summer and thought it was totally cool! I've got a pic of it around here somewhere that I'll have to try and find...

My dream car is the one I already have! :headbang: Minus a few more speed goodies... but she's getting there.

One day I figure I'll end up buying my Dad's '73 Chally off him as he doesn't do anything with it anymore and it just sits there! He keeps talking about wanting a big block, but hasn't done anything about it yet... :banghead:

It would have to be a 70 R/T Challenger. Dad bought one brand new, Plum
Crazy, 383, Auto Slap Stick. It was the car I learned how to drive on. Two weeks afte I got my license I got pulled for speeding. The cop called my Dad and told him he would let me go if he promised to whip my a$$ when I got home! I was going 135 in a 45!!! I sure do miss the good old days. Both the car and Dad are gone now and I would give anything to have them back. While going through some papers the other week I found the window sticker for it. I believe the car sold for around 4200.00 ( sticker price).

Yea diffiniately a B Body. Don't hate me for this but the Demon is actually my first auto A Body, as my cars before were 69-383-4 speed, Runnner, 69-440-4 speed Charger and a 69-440-4 speed Super Bee. The super B will always be my favorite (I blame the misses for me selling it) it had a 440 with dual 4bbl's, 18 spline 4 speed with a 9 3/4" Dana. That boat would just about lift the front wheels off the road when it hooked which was quite a feat for 4000 lb car. :burnout:

Had a Challenger once. Would like to have one again.

Second that! I started out to look for one when I decided to get back into hot rods, saw the prices and wound up with the '68 Cuda!

Jay

68/69 RR
58 Fury
Or maybe an early to mid 60's Dodoge or Plymouth B-body set-up like an old Gasser drag car.
Or go the old school Hot Rod route with a late 20's to late 30's Coupe or 2-door sedan, of which i still plan to build someday.
Here are a few examples from a show i was at this summer.

Here's my wishlist to the Santa Claus:

'58 DeSoto, 4-door.
'70-'71 TrailDuster, that full convertible version...
'78 Ramcharger.
'70-'73 Cuda with slant six and automatic...
'70 Fury convertible with bigblock.
Superstock MoPar which goes 9 in quarter mile...

:headbang:

Or any MoPar between 1950-1977...

Yep, and i forget two of my favorits:
Dodge Dart Stationwagon 1962, Slant Six and automatic
Dodge Pioneer 1961, 4-door sedan...

Someday, dream comes true, i hope...

I have had 2 A bodies, 4 B bodies, 1 C body, and a Colt and Spirit (not that those counted for much) What would I want if I didn't have the Dart, well I would have to say I would have to have another 73 RR with a BB (440 stroked to the max) w/4 speed because of all the cars I ever had it was the most damn fun and had the best back seat for enjoying my 2 favorite pasttimes at once, woman and cars. LOL.

well one of my always favorite car would be a:

70 duster 340 4 speed, sure grip rear, and buckets either b5 blue, or lime green perhaps

thats always been a big one to me
i would love to have my 66 dart back into driving conditions again :(
a ss/a 68 cuda (hemi, 4 speed, factory race car) that would be fun
an old 63-64 max wedge car, i like those, hmm a 65 cuda blue, i like the looks of the front end. and of course a 70-1 cuda hemi 4 speed haha, a ta challenger i love the looks of those, and a aar cuda

I think I would go new. Maybe one of those twin turbo vipers. The GTX or GXT? (the cool coup looking one). Back half the rear a little. And get a body kit to make it look like the old Panoz car...

I got my chance. I have had A-bodies all my life and I have always wanted a Max Wedge 63 Ply as I love the body style amd the Max Wedge cars were just plain bad. So I figured I could never afford one but my buddy made me a deal to get as close a car to one as you can get when he basically lost money on this 63 he sold me. It was a 383 car and I figured this was the only chance I may ever have to own my dream Mopar. Dont get me wrong as I love that Dart but I had to give it up to get this 63 and it was a no brainer to me. And I was lucky enough that my son wanted the Dart so I made him a heck of a deal and now both cars rest in my garage. So for me its a 63 Ply B-body !! Ron

I would get another roadrunner just like the 71 I used to have.
It was yellow, full black vinyl top and the air-grabber hood. Awesome machine. Had a 383 backed by a pistol-gripped four-speed and an 8-3/4. I miss that car every single day. A hard void to fill (although the occasional burn-out helps).
I will see if I can find a pic of it.

First choice would be a '66 charger 440 or 426 and 4-speed.
second '61 dodge seneca wagon.
challengers arn't bad either..but it would have to be a late 60's fury.....

Steve
