I went for a little blast around the 'hood. :-D I'm trying to get a renewal sticker but lately I've been leaving the house at 7:30 and not getting home until after 5 then I still have 2 hours of admin stuff to do. My job is killing me.

So far so good Grant. No leaks, runs very cool even in the hot weather we've been having and has 40+ lbs of oil pressure at idle.
Congrats Joe!! It's got a nice little rumble @ idle 8). Treat her gently for a few miles before MASHING the throttle....LOL
I'm trying to be nice to it for the first hundred or so..... :toothy10: I haven't used more than 1/3 throttle yet. Too many rug rats running around the street.

Thank you very much mopardude. I've never built a automotive inline 6 w/fuel injection before so this was very new ground for me and like you say, a lot of thought, time and effort went into this build.

That's great Joe ! I had a 99 Cherokee w/4.0 inline & manual trans...loved it. Was sad when they dropped the inline for the V6. Chirp them tires. Wish you were closer, I'd hire ya.
Now that I have a clue on these things, I might just do another one but stroke it out to 4.6 liters. I have another block laying around now. :)

Build that sucker! I might run it on a rear wheel dyno later this year. Keep in mind that driveline losses are high on these and I live at 5280' above sea level too. :read2:

I think I've said this before, but I'd love to se a trend with these motors being put into little A-body's instead of the slant sixes.
Kinda like how everyone is putting the new hemi's in the old cars.
I think these 4.0's have cool factor of their own, plus they can boil the tires like any v-8 can.
I agree cudaspaz. I'd love to see one of these in a early A.
