Pretty easy to cut them off take the weight off the spring and drive a wedge in between the first and second springs to spread them apart a bit so you don't cut into the main leaf while cutting the second and third springs back then clamp them after your done I used a metal strap type spring...
Don't try and put the front mount on over 2 springs it does not work as the bolts and u-bolts supplied will be to short and it will also bind the spring up and make it a solid suspension .... I tried what you were thinking and it won't work sir.

Okay I get it I do have an Edelbrock LD340 and a 750 DP Holley carb sitting on my shelf and it seems to have a mild cam in it maybe an old hemi grind I'm thinking ... I'm good with that but the valve covers & exhaust are staying it has flowmasters on it .

I have a 26" rad the number on it says it's an e55 extra cool option from a 1972 Challanger 340 don't know if that would work but I had it in my Valiant and took it out it also has the factory shroud on it and a nice tight core no leaks ??? let me know if it interests you .
