Heat shrink tubing is great for restoring cables with failing sleeves. Blasted and lubed the shifter cable then wrapped it in heat shrink tubing to restore the sheathing. All the floor rubber seals for cable, rods and pipes restored and installed. All floor peddles and switches cleaned and...

    Any Pertronix experts here?

I have run the factory coil and the ballast resistor on all my cars for years. The higher the resistance the lower the stresses on the Petronix module (to a point).

Said I was going to do the doors. I lied. Ended up blasting and detailing a lot of interior parts. Epoxied stableized the defroster vents with PC7 epoxy as they get brittle and break on the ends. Now if ONLY there was an OEM harness available I’d be almost done. Some has to come back out to...

The QuietRide insulation kits, headliner, rear wall and side trim pieces are expensive but man does it make it not so tinny inside and it looks so much more sophisticated. Got the glass today so the doors are going together tomorrow.

AC Accumulator Drier - Just passing along an FYI

That is not right for an OEM early A unfortunately. They lay on their side on top of the RH inner fender.

Only planned on experimenting with the front nose Quiet Ride sound deadener but after you are up to your elbow in contact cement you may as well just finish it. There is a definite difference in how hollow it feels in the cab now.

Blacked out behind the grill and PlastiDip on the wire looms to restore them. About all I have time for on Mammas Day. I have a new mini buffer coming Tuesday so the grill will get cut and buffed before it goes back in.

All the issue spots are repaired and I AM DONE PAINTING THIS THING! It still needs a bit of cutting and buffing to get a lot of overspray off it. It will get much more shine when it’s done but now I can do it and know I don’t have to do it again because I have to paint more.

Words can’t explain the joy I’m feeling right now now! Three coats of clear down and flowed out. Once the UV cures it for 5-6 hours I’ll sand out a bit of peel and a few gnats that decided to land then 3 more coats and it’s done.

Sometimes you have to adjust. Planned on white, tape the letters and where orange bands were but the white gave me trouble so had to order more. Won’t be here till next week so we will do it the other way around. Four coats of clear on the gate back, hinges, latch’s tomorrow once FedEx...
