U should have at minimum .015 per clutch if this is a stock build. Any kind of performance should v be e .020 per clutch. I have had to add an extra steel against the piston to take up some clearance. U can also mill the piston down .040 to add another clutch and steel. I’ve even milled the...

Easiest way to wipe a cam if it’s a flat tappet. U may have to grind on the starter or bell to get it to fit square to the bell. This is very rare. Most likely like stated above u didn’t have it in place right. Kim

The forward clutch is applied in all forward gears. The direct clutch is applied in high gear and reverse gear. Kim
