    US Mag Indy wheel question

Not quite the same car, 1965 dart. But 15 x 7 US Indy mags with 235/60 Cooper cobras up front. Second picture is looking down from above at the fender, you can see there is no wheel poke. 255/60 out back.

Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

    I think a +.020" 383 w/a 3.5" has a 1.88 rod/stroke w/stk. rod length. Still a bunch of slug, even with some decking....

    A904 real seal questions

Folded like that will ruin the boot, 100%. On my cars, I use the long yoke and the seal pictured, there is 1/2", +/- 1/16" visible outside the boot. I have been running them like that on multiple cars for over 40 years, both on street cars and race cars.

    Oil additives

Mobile One, Dodge dealerships synthetic, do not know brand and GM brand, Dextrose synthetic. Chrysler Tigershark engine had a piston ring issue, and their qualifications for excessive oil usage and mine was quite different. I really liked the car and fuel mileage, not the oil consumption...

    AVS2 650 Secondary Bog

I run the 650 Avs2 on a commando 273. You can run that carb, and tune it to run better, but you need more carb IMO.

Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

As little as possible but some is ok. You also have to account for the weight of the support rail. All that adds up.

    Rear trim panel fasteners

I like it with the decal/vinyl like you did. I did the same thing to a GT in the 80's. I used paint . Candy Maroon over coarse aluminum. That is all we had back then. Bought the paint at a hobby shop. Vinyl would be much easier.

Short Shaft Slip Yoke 727's in Old Airport Tugs?

Years ago I bought 3 slant 6 727 transmissions at an auction. I was told that they came out of baggage tugs at the airport, they all 3 had short input yokes in them, and they use 1350 u joints. I still have at least one of them somewhere in my parts storage.

Only too a point that you don’t get the piston so short you compromise the ring pack or you get the rods so short that you side load the pistons to death. The shorter the stroke, the shorter the deck to keep the piston and rod length reasonable.

So do you believe the shorter the deck height, the better? Or, only to a point. The 302 Ford has a 8.2 deck height. What's a 318, 9.6 if I remember correctly?????

    360 vs 383

The 440-3.23 B bodiies were top enders in my neck of the woods. These were about the only cars that we would outrun the State Patrol in. In 1970 the county I lived in-the County Sheriff and 3 or 4 Deputies drove 70 Charger R/T's and Coronet R/T's, all with 440 and 3.23 gears. I once heard...
