Yet another fan clutch thread, I swear, this one is slightly different

That's a weird looking pulley. I think replacing that will solve the issue there.

    adjusting valve lash 422 SB

3402, You are close to the 290 @ 050 limit, so use the 8 position method. Some people are making too much of this, almost anal. You have roller lifters.......& presumably roller rockers. A roller lifter has two areas that can vary in dimension [ that a FT lifter does not ]. How accurate the...

Yet another fan clutch thread, I swear, this one is slightly different

Done And wow, I guess the engine hadn't stopped in this exact position before for me to see how bad the front of that rubber is eaten up, almost looks like rodent damage. I do know the pulley does not wobble excessively or feel loose when pried on with no belts on. But it sure doesn't look...

1/4 Turn Fasteners for Fiberglass Parts

Guys, I recent purchased a car that was converted to drag racing years ago and the hood and trunk have been fitted for 1/4 turn fasteners, but many are missing. How do I measure what I have to figure out what I need to order to make up what is missing? Thanks in advance!

Help Decoding VIN, 69 Dodge Dart GTS

According to the sales manager, F40 doesn't own this car- they are selling it on consignment for the current owner. However, F40 did go through the car before listing it for sale, and they did brake work (rear wheels), blower motor replacement, and new tires all the way around. Reportedly...

Advancing stock cam in a 360?

When advancing or retarding a cam, you are doing so in crank degrees, NOT cam degrees. So in the example in post #22, one tooth would be 15.8*. that is a lot. Yes confusing. Regarding cam timing [ in degrees ], the only number that is in cam degrees is the LSA. Every thing else, ICL, ECL &...

    A-Body Round #2- My '76 Scamp restore...

Best guess, the ground wasn’t really grounded because the plastic relay was insulating it on that side. So the power was back feeding through the other circuits. I had something similar happen when I added add relays.

Gonna give this one a shot tomorrow. Should be 6 degrees, according to the charts. Got it all back together with a good new Carter fuel pump and just fired it up quick. Fuel pressure is back up where it should be. Time for bed now but will check the results tomorrow. I'm sure it will be much...
