Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

A street engine. This is where people spend too much time with their noses in hot rod books and buying all the forum gurus BS. A short rod is good for high piston speed and it makes the engine pull more vacuum at low RPM. Generally speaking, that's what you want in a street engine. This is...

Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

People generally go out of their way to run longer rods if they can, what situation would you go shorter as the primary goal ? Not for some secondary reason like to be able to run shorter deck and or stroker crank etc..

Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

How ? It's only if you build a stroker Mopar you only have to worry about like 4"+ stroke sbm and 4.25" + stroke bbm and they don't seem to care about it, But there's tons of long rod swap options for Chev and Ford so it would seem they worry about it more. Is there huge power gains to be had...

[WANTED] A-903 Shifter linkage repair kit

My shifter linkage has a lot of play and the grommets are worn out and broken. Looking for a "repair kit" that would include at least the grommets and clips. Any other tips how to fix this are welcome as well.

Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

I've never understoof the emphasis that Mopar guys seem to put on rod ratio. It's much lower in list of priority for proffessional engine builders and race teams.

    Vapor lock- additive?

I cured vapour lock on my 440 by removing the factory fuel pump & fitting a Carter #4594 elec pump. VP lock is usually worse, or causes more problems, at idle & low cruise rpm. That is because the engine is using less fuel. The fuel stays in the pumped & lines longer....getting cooked by the heat.

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

And the motorcycle version of these abominations is the Ducati 999, which replaced the most beautiful Italian machine on two wheels. Some people just can't resist ruining beauty. What kind of evil moron kills this, And replaces it with this, "Modern Art Mutant Peniscycle"

    Rear Versus Front Tire Widths

I always try to go with same height all around, even when I go with different sizes front and rear. I'm looking at 245 60 14 for the rear and 205 70 14 for the front of Vixen. They are very close to the same overall height. That way, I carry one spare, but still have the cool hot rod look.

    Rear Versus Front Tire Widths

With my goal to get the tires inside the wheel wells, my intention is to go with a 15x7 wheel. That way all 4 wheels are the same, and can accomodate up to 9 in width tires. My #1 choice on wheel is the AM Racing AR23 Series (cobo of good looks and good price). #2 would be the US Mags U101 Indy...
