Those aren't Gates ends on the heater hoses. It's just an AN to hose barb adapter. The Gates clamp is pretty much plastic heat shrink. Just slide it on and heat it with a heat gun. All of the fuel line and AN fittings are Evil Energy brand found on Amazon. It may be hard to see, but I have some...

Its insane how dirty they get after driving in the rain. I still have dirt on the bottom of mine from Moparty 3 years ago when I had to drive through mud to load up to leave in the rain.

Intake tube painted to match, and HEMI badging on the coil covers painted body color. This thing looks awesome in there. I don't think I could be any happier than the way it looks. A friend came to check it out and he said it looks like the car came with it. Mission accomplished! Side note...

Hemi Swapping a perfectly good 70 Duster

With the exception of the catch can and some AC lines (which won't be visible), the engine compartment is pretty much done. I painted the HEMI badging on the coil covers with the same paint that's on the exterior of the car. I was having trouble deciding which color to go with, but a good friend...

Could always just throw a 2.76 gear in it and roll! Honestly, that's likely what I would do if I were to put that many miles on the car even with the OD. 75mph at 1800RPM, yes please.

Man, the Power Tour has always been a bucket list item for me. It passed through the city I live in about 10 years ago but my car was in pieces. I always have hope that it will head back south again. For the last several years, the drive to get to it would be longer than the actual tour. I have...

Here's the new throttle body adapter I made that is raised over the last one. I lined up the bottom of the hole and rounded the top. The picture makes the bottom look like it isn't aligned but it is. These gates shrink clamps are badass! So much better looking than a screw clamp. Got the IAT...

My gates hose clamps came in Saturday so I was able to get the heater hoses and power steering suction line completed and get fluids topped off. I ran the car on and off for about an hour until my wife had enough of the open headers. Apparently it was rattling the walls in the house. Hmmm, I...

@Dantra I wiped the white printing off the gates shrink clamps with lacquer thinner. It came off with zero effort.

The headlight, horn, and fan wiring is all in the driver side fender well. I attached some P clamps with nuts to the bottoms of the fender bolts to hold the wiring up. AC and heater hoses are in the passenger side fender well held in the same manner.

It runs! My gates heat shrink hose clamps didn’t show up so I could run it for very long. I put 2 gallons of coolant in it and it still isn’t even up to the water pump. That was enough for me to run a couple minutes. That single big throttle body sure makes throttle response snappy. It’s pretty...

I knocked 15% fuel out of the whole fuel table since the engine is 15% smaller in displacement. No idea if that has any relevance, but figured it would be a good place to start. For the timing table, I found a few examples online and made some things up based on those tables. It's pretty...

Ended up getting the coil drivers installed last night. It wasn't as time consuming as I thought it would be. Taking the seat out helped make work under the dash easier. For those not knowing or understanding why I needed to install coil drivers, I thought I'd explain it. I was previously...

Not much time on the car over the weekend but managed to knock out a few things. "Cold air intake" adds 25HP, right? This will be painted with Cerakote to match the rest of the black engine parts after I weld my IAC bung and a bracket on it. PS tank and overflow are painted and I had to...

Knocked out some small items but otherwise didn't work on the car much this past weekend. I painted the Cerakote on the radiator overflow tank and power steering reservoir and got each of them back installed. Power steering lines are done except 1 fitting at the pump. I did receive the Turn1...

Thanks! I also hate the appearance of worm drive hose clamps. On the LA engine, I had put heat shrink on them and painted them black to mask the ugly. I've never used them, but that's what I intend to use on the heater hoses since both ends have a threaded fitting for removal. I'm going to...

Continuing with my scheduled weekly update for those following along. I feel like I spent a lot to time on the car, but it looks the same...haha. Got the clutch linkage in and adjusted and all is good with that. The steering linkage needed to be fiddled with since it was touching a header...

Weekly update. New condenser is in along with the radiator and fans. I also decided bringing the AC lines to the fender apron like they were previously wasn't going to happen. I moved the heater hoses up to the top 2 holes and I'll make a plate to cover the lower 2. AC line will now run behind...

Got a few things knocked out this week. Radiator is in, upper hose in an 06 Charger RT hose. The lower I purchased didn't work. I think a hose with a 45 degree angle will work. They seem to be a fairly common universal hose. I trimmed the heater hoses up and they laid out nice and neat. My AC...

Had a few hours on Saturday to knock some things out. I must have had a brain fart when I originally ordered all my AC parts. I always thought the condenser could be larger. The AC cooled pretty good, but on those really hot days, it couldn't keep up. I once read it best to have the biggest...

When @HemiDenny originally designed his G3 hemi mounts, he used the Milodon oil pan. The Holley cast pan is a little deeper in the front and back and the sump is also in a slightly different position. Denny couldn't say with 100% certainty that the Holley pan would work without some...

Those should work. I like a lot of the XXR designs, but can't stand the double drilled bolt pattern. It wouldn't be so bad if they made plugs for the holes that aren't in use.

I was going to try a stock upper LX hose and a Gates 20608, which is off a 1980ish Ford Econoline van with a 6 cyl for the lower.
