    73 Duster build named Fred

.009 is hard to beat. He might have got you even if you weren't waiting for the toaster for your sammich. I like your exhaust system, and I haven't run my car uncorked in 30 years. Was it faster without the mufflers? I think if I uncorked mine, and actually removed the mufflers and tailpipes...

    Wedding Car

As the owner of a car that has been in a LOT of friends weddings, (the avatar, Rumble seat conv), I'd vote for the Rolls Royce. (Always wanted an old Rolls.... not so much anymore. ) If the Caddy was a two door, and the groom was driving, ....then yeah.

    roller rockers require roller cam?

You could also check out B3 racing engines. Owner specializes in Mopar rocker arms, and geometry fixes. He'll know which rocker works best for a mild sbm combo. A couple good video explanations on his website.

    roller rockers require roller cam?

Best way to learn, is to ask questions. Nope, roller rockers do not require a roller cam. And a mild roller cam doesn't even require roller rockers. But new roller rockers might require new correct length pushrods. Frankly, I'd ask Brian at IMM what rockers he would recommend. (Or Fred.)...

    Rear diff oil change/check

There IS a small chance that it is a cone sure grip, with completely wasted cones.... but that's maybe 1%. And that one percent is usually the guy asking..... "I've got a posi, how come only one tire spins?"

    Rear diff oil change/check

In neutral.... and spin by hand. (Both rear tires off the ground) I agree with above. Pull the cover off to change the fluid, and find out for sure whether limited slip or not. (If you don't already know otherwise... 95% chance it's open.)

    Shock absorber opinion

I have six mopars and not one has power steering. I don't expect any of them to "handle". The only one that I know what shocks it has is the 62: competition engineering drag shocks. Three of my mopars don't even HAVE tube shocks. Or torsion bars.

    Struggling to find mufflers

Hooker aero chambered muffler 21516HKR 2 1/2 in/out, center/center $125 at summit, in stock. (I doubt I would pay that. My 3 1/2 aero's were $50 when I bought em.) Holley closeout site has 3"aeros center in/out, marked down to $90. If I was buying mufflers tomorrow?.......Dynomax ultraflow...

    Struggling to find mufflers

Quiet and no-drone and short small mufflers don't go together. The bigger the muffler, the less likely to be loud and drone. Till I read your list, I would have recommended a quality turbo muffler or hemi muffler. If you want a chambered sound, I'd get hooker Aero. I had a pair of 3.5 in/out...

    What battery?

We are having battery problems again, primarily because of our own stupidity/neglect. I think I killed the redtop in my Opel, gf neglected the Costco interstate in her Dakota that is rarely used, and the battery in my (ex-stolen/recovered)Z28 died of old age, I think, cause that car isn't...

    Non A-body mopar question

In my opinion, this ^^^^ is the correct answer to your question. For a driver you can enjoy. Now, if you're planning a swap to a high-suds 340/408/440/500 a swap is certainly in order. There are many upgrades possible/available. 8 1/4, 8 3/4, 8.8, 9 1/4,Dana 60. Other than the 8.8, and the 9...

    Non A-body mopar question

O.p., did you look to see (or ask the owner) what rear it had? Real easy (REAL easy) to tell a 7 1/4 from an 8 3/4. Smooth round backside, 8 3/4, cover on the back with bolts, 7 1/4. Unless you are planning an engine swap, a 7 1/4 could be fine. Of course an 8 3/4 is preferred.

    15" Sbp spare tire options

If you're looking for a temporary spare (and I DO MEAN TEMPORARY) a 5x100mm wheel is very close.... and there's tens of thousands of them in boneyards. Be sure to check center hole diameter BEFORE you might need it. If I remember right, each stud is off roughly .030

    727 shifter suggestion

I'm using a pro ratchet in my Opel, from the experience in my 62 savoy. I had a cheetah in the 62, and it was bulletproof, but it wasn't stupid-racecar-driver proof. Too many 1-3-2-3 shifts. I converted the 727 shifter to a powerglide and stuck it in a different car. It worked beautifully as a...

    U-Haul car trailer experience?

The worst stories ive heard about u-haul trailers are tire related. Give them a GOOD look. Ive never used u-haul trailers myself, tho i did rent a box truck a couple times for my business. I have a nice car trailer that I bought 25 years ago, and a box truck we bought recently (for dirt cheap...

17” American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels

A 17"wheel (or a 20", for that matter) will fit, or NOT fit, depending on wheel width, backspace (kids call it offset), and what tire you put on it. A 17X7 with a reasonable size tire should fit on the front, you'll just have to make sure the backspace is right. A 17x8 on the rear (with...

Will my 360 cast crank, cast piston……

Agree. ^^^^ this is the correct answer, imo. And a torquestorm is a little small for a V8. Very nicely built, however. And I bet rebuilder ring end gaps are not gonna be real tight/on spec.

    Rear wheel

I'm betting you mean backspace, not offset. 4 1/2" of offset would mean nine inches of wheel to the inside, or the outside, depending on + or -. Oops.. maybe you meant 4.5 mm of offset (less than a quarter inch)

    Tire fitment 68 Dart

Not enough backspace (are your new wheels original centerline autodrags?). 215/65x15 same height as a 225/60, almost an inch narrower. (There were, at one time,15x5 or 5.5 auto drags. I haven't seen a pair, other than mine, in years)
  29. 33IMP

    Tire fitment 68 Dart

I don't know, not a dart owner. But, unless you are building a handling first car, I tend to be conservative on front tires. 215/65 might be too tall, 235/60 too wide (for the car, not the rims.) Why not split the difference? 225/60x15? And to tell the truth, I'd rather see a 3 3/4 or 4" bs
