    Agreed, IF the o.p. converts to 4.5 bolt pattern. I believe he is still 5 on 4. The only torque thrust style 5 on 4 I know of are team III custom order (around $500 a wheel) and Boyd's 17x7 and 17x8.

    I am a fan of spacers, their use doesn't bother me a bit. I DONT care for the adapters idea, I doubt I would do it. But, if you must........ Spend the money for the billet ones 100%. NO CAST GARBAGE!!!

    4032 shouldn't do that, unless they are installed too loose. If those Diamonds are 2618, that's expected, and normal, and nothing to worry about. A friend and i ran a 440 in a Duster with CAST pistons at .008 (supposed to be around .001-2) and the piston slap was noticeable, and didn't go away...

    .030 over 383, with a 440 crank, is 432 inches, same as a .030 over Hemi.

    Unless you plan to run that car 10k/yr for about a decade, I don't think a lack of lead should be a concern. I'd be more worried about the alcohol content wrecking the rubber in the fuel system.

    If the McCreary's aren't too old to be used, (BIG if!) $250 is a reasonable price for the tires, so the wheels are free. Have you priced tires lately? A nice wide pair of T/A radials is $500. I'm looking at about $2500 for a new set of six on my avatar car.

    This might have been mentioned somewhere in ten pages, but the 360 has one huge advantage..... an overdrive auto trans bolts right up. N/A for a big block. But I voted for the 383 anyway.
