that's a very cool upgrade and as you say looks almost stock. so many led headlights have those smaller circles in the 'bowl' and look far too modern (imo) for even most 'modern' cars. that type is not my cup of tea at all, whereas these i'd fit in a heartbeat. neil.

i've read the gm th2004r can be built to handle more hp than the th700r4 even though it's physically smaller. maybe that's why it was chosen for the available kits. neil.

yes, here in the uk cars have to have a tailpipe emissions test every year as part of the 'mot' (roadworthyness/safety) test. the level of acceptable emissions gets lower as the vehicles get newer so pretty standard stuff i guess. neil.

actually a car modified for performance that is set up correctly can be very 'clean' running as most performance motors are more efficient burning a larger percentage of the fuel they ingest. so i don't know who both of you are but you're wrong.

not all of those 010 blocks are 4 bolt mains. they're more likely to be but not for certain.

why not do as suggested and just replace the rubber seal with a large bead of silicone. i mean, how many thousands of v8's are out there with a bead of silicone either end of their intake instead of the original rubber/cork seals? in fact many rebuild books tell you to do that as it's less...

if you're always on level ground, the filter is the same and as you say it has the same 5 quarts of oil then it's not possible to get different readings. unless of course it wasn't fully drained each time as that's the only possible variable. i mean, if you had 6 new buckets all the same and...

from memory i bent a dog leg in it to shorten it. either that or i shortened it and re bent a hook on the end. it's been a while and i've been asleep since then, lol. neil.

i've had pcd adapters as thin as 11/16 to 3/4 thick. would that work out cheaper/better than redrilling the axles? neil.
