6.4 is a 392 C.I. There have been some serious HP builds from these engines.

The small block mopars have some of the best rod ratio compared to the other brands. Must be a place a builder would love it to be.

Some of the best Ford guys I know, some even restore them, can't agree on what's a big block or small block Ford :D Us mopar guys never have that issue....

So do you believe the shorter the deck height, the better? Or, only to a point. The 302 Ford has a 8.2 deck height. What's a 318, 9.6 if I remember correctly?????

what is your idea of the perfect deck for an engine of discussion? You said your bore and stroke (4.2 x 3.5), but what would the ideal deck be?

I actually like a real engine in this setting. The BB 400 mopar. 4.34 x 3.38 Chevy guys would say "gimme the 4.12 x 3.75 small block 400

4 x 4 square motor would put a guy at about 402, in compliance. Basically a standard bore 360 with a 4" arm.

Heads Up 1/4 mile Racing. 400 C.I. is the target +/- 3 cubes for all cars. How would you like to get there in YOUR perfect world? What would be your factors in choosing? Or would you build it the same regardless? Truck Pulls, would it change your selection? Family sedan and fuel mileage. ??

Track went hot on Saturday (4-27-24). Because of the wind and possible rain, I left the 318 Duster at home and just took the van down, as always, all in fun. In trophy I went out first round in a "do-over". I had the tree and probably the win but the tower messed up and stopped the clocks...
