    Strange S60 Rear End Help

If you have a weldor with a modicum of experience, they won't warp it by putting the perches on. I have welded perches onto a handful of 8 3/4 housings which are relatively thin stamped steel with no issues. My S-60 was fine after my welding job on the perches. Remember, the S60 is not a 1...

    Strange S60 Rear End Help

When I ordered my S60, I told them not to weld them on and just ship them with the rear end. You really have no idea how to position it until the axle is under the car, and the car is on the ground with weight in it. I ordered mine through Dr. Diff, and he made it easy.

    440 Roller Cam suggestions

It is REALLY easy to have a custom camshaft ground to meet your application and desires. I had Howard's make me a custom cam over the winter for my new 505 build. The specification and purchase process was easy and quick. I think it took around 10 or 11 weeks to get it after that. Just a thought...

Which Parking brake Cable Kit for 1971 340 Duster?

Thank you all for the replies. This Duster is new to me, and i have only had it for about 6 weeks. It is just a rough looking driver, but pretty original. I am just going through the little stuff it needs to be a reliable cruiser. A previous owner converted the whole car to the big bolt pattern...

Which Parking brake Cable Kit for 1971 340 Duster?

Can someone tell me whether my 1971 340 Duster has the parking brake kit with an Intermediate cable, or without? The cables under the car are missing - so I cannot see what it had. Just trying to figure out what kit to order, or how to identify which kit it originally had. Thank you!

New carb finally arrived, with pic

When choosing your power valve, remember, the higher the number, the earlier / quicker it will open. Also, it does not add fuel when the engine is idling - that is a wives tail. My ATM's both have 10.5 PV in them because my cruise vacuum was in the 12in-hg range. They had a 6in-hg one in them...

New carb finally arrived, with pic

I swapped to a pair of 650 ATM's on my Cuda right at the end of the season last year. They seem like a decent company, and have answered my questions when I have called. Can you post that jet conversion chart? That might be a handy reference to keep in my carb folder.

    [WANTED] 1971 340 Duster Parts

I'm looking for: Fender mounted turn signal indicators for a '71. I believe these are the ones that are painted body color, (require 3 holes), not the chromes ones from the later years. Need a pair that are suitable for a driver - do not need to be show quality. Battery hold down and...

Anybody running these kind of Air Filters on a tunnelram

I run a pair of these short stacks form PJ Motorsports on my junk. Velocity Stacks For Hot Rods Yes, you can make them yourself cheaper - but for me, there are tasks where I have more $$$ than time for!

I'm on 20 acres. We wave at eachother as we drive by our neighbors. That's pretty much it.

    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

Just go ahead and cut out the inner fenders, put some front bars in the car, and tie them to the fire wall, or the roll bar / cage you are eventually going to want in the car. Might as well stiffen up the car, and make room now.

Small Block and Big Block Damper Question

Hey guys, will a big block damper work on a small block? Both engines are forged crank. I have a big block fluid damper laying around, and was wondering if I could use it on a 340?

    Indy Aerohead

I have a 340 in my 70 Swinger that has Aerohead "J" heads. I built this engine back in 1998 or 1999. It is still going strong, and putting up with 6,000+ shifts occasionally!

Indy Cylinder Head Swap Meet March 1-2

I know what I was looking for was a long-shot. I am looking for a different set of rockers to run in place of the Harland Sharps i have been running the last 2 seasons. I want a set of stainless, bushed rockers, because i do drag and drives, so there are street miles AND 1/4 mile trips. I'm just...

Indy Cylinder Head Swap Meet March 1-2

I was at the swap meet today shopping with a friend. The crowd seemed pretty light for a Saturday. we got there around 10, and left by 1. I didn't find what I was looking for, but my buddy got a nice deal on a B body front fender. Really surprised by the relatively small crowd......

Poll: Do traction bars help out Mopar leaf springs or not

"Traction bars" is kind of a generic term. I have Smith Racecraft Assassin bars on my Barracuda, and they work really well. Do you consider those, or the Cal-trac style bars "traction bars"? OR are you just referring to the old, slapper-style bars?

Got a new Truck (new to me)

Nice truck, man! I have owned a handful of the 80's Rams (and Ram Chargers) and I think they are the best trucks for actual truck use. Not comfy trucks, but tough and easy to work on.

    Supporting the engine?

I have used a ratchet strap to support the rear of the engine when pulling the trans. Also, the same method works on the trans when pulling the engine. You can hook the strap hooks in the hood hinge area on each side. On my car, i hook to front cage bars.

    ATM/Holley verses Carter 625 AFB

I'm not interested in participating in the carb science pissing match- but I will chime in that I have 2 seasons (probably 60-70) 1/4 mile passes running a pair of 800 AVS2s on my 440. I tune with an AFR gauge, vacuum gauge mounted on the dash connected to manifold vac, and reading spark plugs...
