    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

There is an option. It isn't cheap though.... At FBBO, a member there posted links to retrofit EFI gas tanks that used different sending units that appeared to have a cylindrical type of float rather than the stock type that swings in an arc. These were supposed to read with greater accuracy.

    Rear end swap/install

mancini, year one, espo you'll get the right parts amazon or ebay, cheaper but unknown quality and fit local rear-end or spring shop, probably cheap, likely good quality, but may need to cut to fit.

...it and at first there was movement again! Which quickly ended again. Fluid level seems ok. Well, before getting my *** kicked by the trans-shop, any guesses what can be the couse? Converter has been rebuild, was tested okay, has been used in another setup, can I have f**d that one up too?

    318LA build

i think the eddy performer 2177 would be a great mild cam for a 318 with stock (low-ish) compression. a little less aggressive than a stock 340 cam. the thing i don't like is that it's a single pattern cam. however, for the money i think a melling 360 stock cam or a summit white box is a better...

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

I guess I'm just the lone ranger. I've used several Spectra sending units through the years, two very recently and none have read wrong. That's none. They are made in Canada. I've installed them in Mopars, General Motors products and Fords and every single one of them read correctly. The only...

That ain't cool man. That was my line. lol In all seriousness, I would run something similar to the Edelbrock Performer. Summit has a version in their name brand that's very affordable.

    273 Rocker Arm Oiling

I've used everything from a bench grinder and a file to a drill press with a broach. It's not hard to see when it's flat and most of them don't take that much at all. Luckily with the slant 6, the top of the adjuster hole is already flat.

    273 Rocker Arm Oiling

Yes it does! It's a simple procedure really even if you had to do it.

Engine popped back thru carb and died, no start issue

I would go over it and check to see all main ground and power connections are tight and clean.

You could get ball and ball pushrods, but then, you'd make up the extra cost of the correct adjusters.

72 Duster Sharktooth grill to fit on a 70 Duster possible?

Thanks for the info bro - You both did a great job. I hope this one turns out half that good - I already bought a gallon of metallic silver paint, and I've already started painting. So, the grill might not stand out that much - But I'm gonna do it anyway. The old grill was black and I was gonna...

Had exact same problem with a Pert module. Died suddenly....but started after engine cooled down. Owner no longer trusted the Pert & switched to HEI. Going well now, well over 10 yrs.

The 383/400 Chr has the highest rod/stroke ratio of ALL the popular BB engines. That means they do not breath well at low/mid rpm, all else being equal. Sig Erson, a very clever cam grinder, realised this DECADES ago & issued the warning below; although it refers to the 440 [ has a high r/s...

i contemplated alum screen, but i couldn't find any the first time they busted out the billion year old unit so i settled for whatever passed for super heavy duty. it's held up well thus far. i didn't have to replace it, just "reset it" because they like to lean and flop against the screen and...
