    5.9 magnum and the ax15

    Easiest, bolt in method is to use a 143t 5.9 flywheel and clutch setup from a Dakota or ram. That’s what I used in my swap and everything bolted in without an issue.

    Nv3500 vs ax15

    Yeah that’s not the case at all in a car with a 25.5-26” tire. Like I said in my last post, anything over 55-60mph, I use 5th. And around here, I’m using 5th every single time I drive the car. The gear splits with an ax15 and 2.76’s is nearly identical to a 904 with 4.10’s.

    Here’s the rpm/mph difference between the 3.23’s and 2.76’s in 5th gear. I typically use 5th any I’m going 55+

    Higher gears are definitely required with the ax15. I was running 3.23’s in my Duster and still only using 1st gear if I was taking off on a hill. I’ve since installed 2.76’s and now use 1st through 5th gears as intended.

    Sounds more and more like it’d probably be better just to go with a t-56 magnum instead of the tr6060, unless I’d wait to swap the tr6060 until I do a G3 swap, then it’d Nville be a bolt in deal.

    I put a wanted add on a Challenger parts page on fb for an old/junk clutch and pressure plate setup. If I can get my hand on one, we’ll see how close it comes to bolting onto a sb flywheel.

    Has anyone here put a tr6060 from a Challenger behind a small block? Will the stock bellhousing work (I know the starter is on the passenger side) or will a different bellhousing be needed? Thanks

    I’d planned to do that with a ‘75 Duster that I had but ended up selling it. My plan now is to use the ‘67 front clip (and possibly the ‘67 rearend) on my ‘75 Scamp in order to make a 1-of-none 112” wb ‘67 valiant.
