Mattman’s mopars on eBay makes a very nice cam button that goes onto the front of the Cam Bolt. It is file to fit made from black Delrin.
If you need more strength, I suggest using this button along with reinforcing the front of the chain cover with some 3/16” plate.
prolly a small one on the top and bottom, Not a lot of wrench handle swingin' space, Just enough to get it unfrozen from the pipe threads. Once you get it started you can use a 15/16 o1 1" socket to get it the rest of the way off.
Now if this slant were in a C body or a B/D series van or truck...
If you are taking that oil light switch out to replace it with a new one, then just use a pipe wrench - you will destroy the metal can on the switch, but if you put a new one in that does not leak everywhere you don't need to save the old one anyway.
The T5 will take pretty much anything you can do with a slant 6 unless you have some sorta crazy nitrous compound turbo supercharged ridiculousness, then you are likely to blow a head gasket before you break the T5.
You can drill the one offset hole to make it work with a slant 6.
I have done that with the SFI approved 904 flexplates for the LA engines to have them work with my slants as needed.
What is the center crank flange hole diameter?
@junkyardhero Are you speaking about 273 LA Bellhousings? if...
I have a set of the Pistons Menstioned in Post #1 above in my Ruster at the 3.504" Ø bore size with excessive milling to achieve 13.5:1 CR. Good Stuff.
0.100" off the Head and 0.100" off the Block with Stock 225 Rods and Stock 225 Replacemnt Pistons will give you ~ 10.25:1 Compression with no modifications to the piston. If you have a high lift/High Duration Cam, then You might need to add valve notches to the piston whifh I did on one of my...
The fastest Slanted racers are Will Burns, Leighton Drake, Team Green, Mike Jeffery, Dale Rose, Howard Davis, Mark Ethridge, and Steve Nitti. Most of those folks are not racing anymore.
They mostly have Booosted, well-built combinations.

I think EJ Potter's Dart Wagon had the Slant 6 delete option.
But he put it back in for the wife to drive after he took the Allison engine back out..:)
You can use a cherry picker to remove the engine without removing the hood in a car (A body) by removing the Head and manifolds first. Then use the head bolt holes with shorter 7/16 bolts and a chain on your cherry picker!
To remove the entire assembled engine, the hood will have to come off...
Why do some gear drives have only one idler and some have 2 idlers?
Do you have a Parts list for those parts you have used in this install? Obviously, you modified the Top gear to be a one bolt with the drive pin for the Slant 6 cam.
Looks like an older paxton supercharger with a Rons toilet And mechanical injection.
I bet Mark and friends used to buy that green paint by the 55 Gallon Drum:)
Whatever someone will pay for it.. as others have said Giveaway-$250
Or whatever beers you can lure your buddies to your garage with to have them haul it away for you.
Shouldn't be hard to find a slant. Everyone on FB thinks core engines are worth 500-1000 Dollars.
But there are 50-100 ones around too.
If you show up with a truck and cherry picker it's likely that someone will give it to you to free up garage space.
You are likley to pay more if it's...
Thanks Romeo,
When you were doing those High zoot builds ~25 years ago did you ever deal with top end performace in chatsworth, CA? I seem to remeber the GTX having ITB's
Yes Thanks Romeo!
This is sure a rusty car, but It gets great Highway Mileage with your old intake and the Megasquirt running the Fuel and Timing maps, the 833 Overdrive helps too!
I plan on taking it on a Cross the mountains trip in April, from PA to North Carolinia by way of Maryland, West...
I like it for what it is.
Not the best for top end performance or driveability, especially in cold weather, but It does well pulling a big, heavy '69 Dart around the corners and up hills. I no longer race this car But I have autoX'ed it once or twice... It's nto ideal for that. I probably...
