To Sell or Part Out my 68 Formula S Barracuda?

Shipping costs are terrible, they will really take out your profit margin.

    Project 78

Although powder coating was a mid-forties invention, I don't think it was widely used by American car manufacturers back in 1978.

    Project 78

Gotta luv it! I had a 79 4x4 Power Wagon and a 78 4x4 truck as well. Sure miss them.

I guess sometimes engineers are just backyard mechanics...

    M code mounts

I was fortunate in that my RB had the bosses to accept a standard big block driver bracket. Just had to drill and tap the bosses. However, recreating the M code mount looks easy.

    69 BARRACUDA FB interior question

My 69 had a piece of thick paper like board under the floor carpet.

    68 formula S

I presume you mean welding gas, cuz my wife says I never run out of gas.

    Righty's '74 Barracuda

Nice! Probably takes you back… Luckily I know a guy who’s doing a ‘71 clone and needs front seats, so they won’t be going to waste. Here is my current 71 cuda clone project.

    Righty's '74 Barracuda

That 71 cuda front seat is the same color scheme as my 71 cuda I had in high school back in the eighties.

Nothing worth anything in that barn, should give it all to me.

    1969 'cuda 383 4-speed

My original dash as well in my 69 383*s.

    Let it begin

I put my proportioning valve under the master cylinder like you plan to do.

    Let it begin

    I agree!

    Let it begin

Disc brakes up front would be a good idea.

    Nice steering wheel!

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

Update on the progress of my 71. It was 65 degrees today in Amarillo, nice day to spray some primer on my rear quarters and inside my trunk.

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

I understand completely about fitting differently every time. I had the same issues. I have not welded in the tail panel yet. It fits good. I am going to do some prep body work in the trunk without the tail panel in so I can reach into the trunk easier.

It has been awhile since I posted a picture, but my car is now a roller.

    1969 Formula S Fastback 383 4 Speed Project.

Interesting, I have never heard of a rear sway bar option for the 69. Never know with Ma Mopar. Nice 69, I recently sold my 383-s to a fellow in Florida. It was a B5 blue, four speed, fast ratio steering car. Had it for 25 years.

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

Yes, I have used all AMD metal. I have been happy with AMD. I replaced the trunk gutters and trunk braces as well even though the pieces were usable. I will sell them later I guess. No, I do a lot of my work outside in the driveway because my two car garage has my son's 67 notch back one side...

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

It's been about 35 years since I owned my 71 340 cuda in high school. Had a 70 Challenger after that, but it has been around 30 since then. Had my 69 383-s for 25 years, had to sell to fund this project.

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

So I am putting a water pump in my daughter's 2002 40th edition Grand Prix....get down to the last bolt on the pump and the power steering pump pulley is in the way. Off comes the alternator, off comes the tension pulley bracket (which of course breaks the plastic 90 degree elbow for the...

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

Hadn't really thought about mini tubbing it....hmmm.... You can get a pretty respectable tire in an E-body without tubbing but it is tempting.

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

I didn't have to mess with the rockers which makes it a little easier. Don't be too hard on yourself!

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

I have the everything screwed down and looking pretty good. I might have to do a pie cut on the deck filler panel as I have a small gap near the window. I might be able to clamp down on the flange prior to welding to it together better. The gaps on the deck lid look awesome on the driver side...

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

I found out my deck lid had a ton of bondo on it and six or seven holes in it. The junk spoiler was an original AAR spoiler, too bad. I am not sure what to do with the deck lid. I thought about the possibility of buying the cheapest repro and just using the skin to re-skin the original frame...

    Rod's 71 Barracuda

Thanks, I am kind of learning as I go. My restoration is more of a functional restoration since I am not really worried about how original it is.
