Working with 3D printing replacement early A-body parts

I would expect if they can 3d print aircraft parts on an aircraft carrier that we should be able to print some trim parts for our old cars.

    1966 A-Body Chassis Assembly Manual

This was an impulse buy when I saw it on eBay, mostly because I had some cash in PayPal to fund this purchase. There’s 100 pages of assembly drawings with part numbers. There’s a few great ones such as the V8 AC front accessory drive (I wish I had that 10 years ago).

What type of dart do I have?

I think there is consensus that this is a 1966 Dart with a 273 V8 but we need either the fender tag or the build sheet to determine if it was a 2 or 4 barrel carb (and we all know the the 4 barrel has higher compression and crinkle painted valve covers etc…) It has the larger capacity brake...

1966 Barracuda Formula S on Bring A Trailer NOT MINE

Hot on the tail of the ‘65 FS this apparently pretty much original ‘66 shows up with a four speed manual but no AC. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1966-plymouth-barracuda-23/

    1966 Valiant Convertible Trim video

Thanks. You are correct about the ‘66 Barracuda top quarter panel trim being aluminum and the ‘65 being stainless with a different enough shape they don’t fit with the ‘66 tail lights housings. I have SlantSixDans recommended Les bulbs for the tail lights - I just need to find them.

[SOLD] $30 1966 Valiant kick panel & convertible rear side vinyl

$30 plus shipping. Please send me a message as I may not notice a comment on this post. The kick panels should fit most early A’s. The rear panels have the vinyl from a ‘66 Signet; the ostrich feather, but they should fit ‘63, ‘64 & ‘65 Valiants - not sure about Darts because it’s longer in the...

My ‘66 Valiant Convertible at CTC Cars & Coffee

The ‘66 disc brake master cylinder is one reservoir but it had extra capacity added, so it’s a one year only odd part. When I decoded the fender tag I did not expect that it was originally ordered with all the cool bits on it - I’d like to know if someone ordered it that way. It’s also a radio...

How many times has a parts car become a builder

For sure it happens a lot. I bought this as a parts car. I saw Cosgig had bought a similar car that I had looked at that was a disaster- I was glad I had my tetanus shot. I figured he was better off with my parts car and actually more skilled and motivated than I too. He did buy it from me and...
