    Dual ballast resistor

No need to test the resistance, I bought a new one for less than 10 bucks. The old one was cracked and just fell apart when I unbolted it from the firewall. The schematic above is a good reference though.

68 Barracuda Instrument lights not working

The IVR has nothing to do with the instrument lights. It's one pin on the panel that gets its voltage from the headlight switch. It should be easy to trace back.

I could use that but you're too far from N. CA

    Dual ballast resistor

Now it makes sense. I bought a new dual resistor anyway, everything's working. I also bypassed that ridiculous seat belt interlock relay by hooking the 2 yellow wires together.

    Dual ballast resistor

Point me to one. My bottom resistor has a horizontal crack in it, most likely not the proper resistance now but still working.

another temp gauge/fuel gauge/voltage regulator thread

There's a lot of bad advice in this blog, jumping to conclusions with no troubleshooting at all. If I had that car I would pull the instrument panel out of the car and get things working on the bench. It sounds like your instrument voltage regulator is the place to start. Since it's a Valiant...

    Dual ballast resistor

I have a 74 Dart, all stock wiring and working well. My question is, what's the purpose of a dual ballast resistor? I know the top one is used to drop voltage and supply the ignition coil but what's the bottom one for?

[FOR SALE] 67 Barracuda passenger fender

I have a real nice fender for a '67 Plymouth Barracuda. I had it sandblasted (except for the factory rustproofing on the inside) and worked on it a bit to get it looking really nice. The hard work is done, I'd use it on my car. This fender is 57 years old and hard to find. $800 firm...

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

That's interesting, I'll look into that when we get a warm day and a good helper.

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

I took a wheel off the rear and rechecked. I am running 3/4" bore size in the rears.

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

I am running 7/8 rear cylinders, it helped a little but they still lock up.

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

Just to reiterate, I have power disc brakes, all factory setup for '67. It has never worked right, poor braking. Fronts won't lockup, rears will which makes it dangerous. I suspect either bad master, bad proportioning valve or bad bleeding of the system. In any case I want to change the...

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

Yes, I got everything including the proportioning valve.

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

Yes, they were rebuilt and I double checked them. Not pulling, just not stopping.

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

I've bled the fronts (and rears) till I was blue in the face, no change.

Which master cylinder bore size to use for power disc Kelsey/Hayes

My 67 Barracuda has stock Kelsey Hayes power disc brakes were stolen from a 68 Valiant. I got the brakes, master, prop valve all at once. Only problem is that the fronts don't grab well/rears lock up and the pedal is not so firm. The master also leaks from the top due to rust so it's time to...

[SOLD] Both Front Grill pieces for 67 Barracuda

I have a set of grills for a 67 Barracuda for $150 each. They're not in perfect shape but can be used on an everyday driver or restored. The chrome is good but there are a couple of dings. See pictures. The mounting screws are intact and free. These came off a California car so there's no...

    Gas gauges on A-bodies

You should not need a gasket sealer, the rubber does it all. Sealer just makes it difficult for the next time you have to take it apart.

    Gas gauges on A-bodies

I just use a 7805 regulator mounted on a small heat sink and I solder everything. It's very reliable and cheap!

I need a new voltage regulator for my '67 Barracuda. Need a part number.

Running a square-back alternator, one field is grounded. I had a mechanical regulator, it worked fine but recently crapped out so I want to replace it with a SS unit. I just need a good part # and source.

Who would like to beta test one of my new voltage regulators?

I like to be in on that. Being a former microchip engineer I do have an interest in electronics, especially for Mopars. I have 2 Barracudas, 1 Dart and 1 Dodge van.
