Well.....looks like you did too good of a job on the little wagon. Now they're gonna bring you the little tractor because it looks bad next to the wagon! lol. Did you get some red base from SPI?

    Filler tube replacement 65 Barracuda

True, but if you figure out how to snake it out of there, you'll know how to put a new one back in. :)

    Filler tube replacement 65 Barracuda

Maybe so....it's only got two ways it can go. I'll find out when I gut it out to paint it.

    Filler tube replacement 65 Barracuda

You know.....I've had a half dozen or more 64-65 Barracudas and never had to take the fuel filler pipe out. How the heck do you get it out? Twist it and work it towards the front of the car, up over the wheelhouse until the bottom end clears the hole in the side panel?

    65 Barracuda daily driver

That's bound to have been fun! How was sleeping in the car? I've wondered if it would be hard to do on a road trip. I'm 6' and 225, so I'd probably get tired of it pretty quick at my age...lol.

    A 1974 Duster - My 2nd one, 41 years later!

I get it completely. I'm 66 also and starting to wonder if I'll ever get all of my cars done in my lifetime. I thought I'd have more free time when I retired! :BangHead: :realcrazy: LOL. Do what makes you the happiest, and that's what matters. The Duster is a very nice car, no matter if you...

    A 1974 Duster - My 2nd one, 41 years later!

Good to see you're still kicking Alex! What ever happened to the Dart? Clive or Cletus? It was coming along well.

Lookin good! If you have a double flaring tool, it's easy to push a nub onto the end of the fuel line.

Dang! Fire and melted wiring harness avoided!

Doing that would make a preacher cuss! lol.

The "Nobody will want it" 73 Duster Driver project

Changing it in the car is no big deal if needed. Just jack the front end up as high as you can get it so the gear lube runs away from the pinion seal. I always mark the nut and the pinion at the same spot, and then line those marks back up when I put it back together. Never had one leak or whine...

    1966/'69 A100 Twins Build

That will look great. If you want to show out a little, tape off the backside of the tailgate letters and do them in white! :poke:

The "Nobody will want it" 73 Duster Driver project

Looking good! I remember seeing that car on Craigslist several years ago. If you haven't already done so, put a new pinion seal in it before you fill the rearend with gear lube. The last one I swapped in while doing basically the same thing you are went to dripping after it had been retired for...

    1966/'69 A100 Twins Build

Are you going with full white panel with white letters, or orange letters in the white? I can't decide which would be a bigger pain in the *** to tape.....the insides of the letters, or the outsides!?!? I think I'll go with inside...lol. Fine line tape and then tape the rest to that.

Old Timers breakfast @ Cracker Barrel....lol. My favorite! Be safe and enjoy this day. Tell the self proclaimed Grumpy Old Man I said hi!

Also....pretty sure that combo comes in Ram 1500 trucks in a RWD version.

    Josh's 73 Dart Sport - "Fred"

Couldn't agree more. The old guys at work always harped on me about protecting my back and knees, and I'm glad I listened because I don't have trouble with either. It's good to see Josh wearing ear protection while making racket. I wish the old guys had made me do that. I may not have Tinnitus...

    1972 383 Gold Duster build

Wow.....what a transformation! Looks really nice. Is that the Moulin Rouge from newer Challengers? It looks good on that car. If you're doing front disc brakes, double check your proportioning valve. It looks like one from a drum brake car. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing...

    1966/'69 A100 Twins Build

I doubt a 408 will hurt it. Might undercoat the rear bed bottoms with burnt rubber is all....lol. My buddy built a black A100 pickup with a 470 low deck stroker that was moved back 8 inches. Yeah, he extended the doghouse into the bed a little! Had a regular 727 in it, and the driveshaft was not...

1969 Race Dart w/ 426 Hemi- garaged for 45+ years

Looking great. If you decide to paint your radiator, I was told by an old school radiator guy that re-cored 2 for me a while back, that I need to use lacquer paint on the fins. He said it goes on much thinner and doesn't clog the openings and make the radiator not cool as well. The way I look at...

    My barracuda

Nice looking Barracuda! I've got a 65 that I'm getting ready to yank apart to do the body work & paint when it warms up. The new 273 is done, and I need to get the 47 coats of paint off of it to see metal and start over! Looking for ward to watching yours come along, so keep at it...

    67/68/69 cuda dilemma

I think the only threads that time out are For Sale ads and such. Normal posts stay forever. I've seen threads from the year 1626 brought back up to tell Leroy the Lion Hearted in East Elbonia that he put the wrong yoke on his A body Oxcart! Your thread here has been very interesting and...

1966 Barracuda Restoration Project / Updates

Lookin good! Exterior paint kind of resembles 1970 FK5 and the interior color choice looks great! I'm looking for ward to seeing how the Sebring seats look in the car. I want better seats for my 65 Barracuda, but haven't gotten to the point of seriously looking yet.

69 M code Cuda resto and repair

Looks great. I can't imagine the time you spent cleaning the bottom of the car. What did you use to clean it, a needle scaler? Your epoxy looks real close to the color of the factory dip primer too.

    66 DART Convertible

You're doing a great job! If it were me, I wouldn't even bother changing the front bucket seat covers. Yeah, you had to improvise....but the result looks as good or even better than if it were the correct covers. Keep up the good work!

4-bar / back half the HemiDenny / HDK way

Looks great, as always! AMD is now making 3" wider inner wheel house for B & E body cars, so maybe if we get lucky, A bodies won't be far behind.

Yeah, you'd have to tape it up to file the tips with a fine file. I don't think sandpaper would do it. Go to Ace Hardware and get a fairly smooth 3 corner file. If you only have a few to smooth up, it won't take a lot of taping and stuff. If you have a shop vac, just cut it on and keep the hose...
