Valve Clearance - Number of cylinders

Well, then, another dumb question. If the piston is inches away at total lift, why are we worried about the valve hitting the piston?

Valve Clearance - Number of cylinders

I thought that I had around 110 th's. Guess that I better get together with someone before I build my Hemi. I am not an engine builder, but have done several myself. Thanks for getting me off in the right direction. Will get it figured out now that I know.

Valve Clearance - Number of cylinders

So am I wrong in getting cam at full lift, and measuring from there until the valve hits the piston? With a checking spring.

    Thermostat gasket leaking AGAIN!!!!

The Real Gasket worked for me until I installed a Flowkooler pump, blew it out 2 times in a row. Had to clean the engine bay twice. I will take the o-ringed housing every time, no more gasket, no more sealer, no cleaning up the damn mess. No free lunch here, you are going to pay for it with...

    Thermostat gasket leaking AGAIN!!!!

No sealer on the o-ringed housing. You may want to run a file or sanding block over thermostat base on the intake, just to be sure that it is flat.

    Thermostat gasket leaking AGAIN!!!!

Get a Flashpower #181491-200. O-ringed housing. This is for the large thermostat. When torquing, we are talking inch lbs, not Foot lbs, 15- 25. Had your same problem, not a anymore.

    Thin Wall Spark Plug Socket

This is starting to get like, ' Who's on third'. Wanted help, gets advice, says plugs are original to engine. Sounds like he wants to put them back in after he removes them. Would you like to correct the error? Or just, nothing to see here. We don't care if someone else installed the...

    6 Pack Issues

Never have had this problem with my 6-pack. I believe it's boiling gas. That's what happened to my 318 after a gas fill up. You never really know what your getting unless you have the stuff to check it. I used to haul fuel, I know all of the possibilities.

    wiper pivot lube

I guess that I look at our old cars through different eyes, and a lot of my friends do too. My 3 cars don't go out in the rain, plus, they do not get hosed down either, dry cleaned. Some plastic just deteriorates on its own, whether it's greased or silicone lubricant is used. I guess that...

    Narrowed 8 3/4 questions

I am thinking that the buttons are not there and that is the reason your backing plates are making contact with the drums, because you can not adjust your axles. Never heard of swapping sides with the adjuster. Someone else can correct me.

A washer between the clutch and blade? Why? Did you mean #2947?

    bench seat adjustment issues

You do know that there is a tensioned wire that goes from the lever latch to the opposite side latch? The wire tends to stretch, there is an adjustment hook for adjusting the tension. Both bucket and bench seats have them. May be easier to remove the seat to adjust it.

Haven't heard anyone complain about this before, correct cover? Someone else will chime in. I have a scattershield, I did have to carve on the block saver, and leave one bolt out for same area.

Fan clutch replacement guidance and recommendations

Hayden #2947 replacement clutch, that's what I have on my all stock '72. Also helps to make sure that your radiator and or A/C condenser isn't full of bugs etc. Besides all of the things mentioned here.
