I appreciate all your help.That's what I was finding out.The 70 and 71 seemed to be towards the middle but the 73 dusters 4 speeds i have looked at like 2 out of 10 had the light closer to the steering column. The rest were closer to the ash tray opening....crazy....

I found out what it was.The - light bulb holder had one of the tabs broke.Wasn't making a good connection. It's fixed and working thanks

I have the first one that is what's in it now... I was just thinking that if you turned the key on and did not start it.Those 2 lights would light up, and once it started They would go out unless there was an issue....

I have tested both light bulbs in the - for the brake light and the oil pressure light. They are both good. Doesn't both lights come on on the dash when you go to start the car... Then go out once the car is running? What would cause this not to happen?Car runs fine.... And starts good.

I added a picture of where someone has mounted reset relay as of now i'm just trying to find out where it would have been factory location

Would this be in the same location with a 340?Speed mine doesn't seem to have any mounting holes anywhere

There are no screw holes in that location

It looks to be original. It also looks like the interlock stuff under the dash has been bypassed or something I know. That it doesn't Work in the car still Starts and runs

I just looked on my duster and there is no holes For that relay In that location... The search continues l o l

The one I'm talking about looks like 1 of these only.It has two holes instead of three

This one's the relay that mounts on the firewall.Or fender somewhere has the red reset

All I have is a white gray color female plug up by the fire wall that the wires go in to the bulkhead...same colors...but the yellow wire is grounded....

So having a three wire plug it was probably an automatic with reverse lights and neutral safety switch correct

I found a small wiring harness that is coming from the bullhead connector closest to the driveside That looks like it would have connected to the transmission wiring it's a three wire plug that has the yellow wire grounded. For whatever reason

Does anyone know where The seatbelt interlock relay would have been mounted factory on a 73 duster.... Mine is just basically hanging there.Just curious it would have been from the factory

Thanks.That helps when I purchase the car.It's a factory three forty h code car But it did not have a fender tag It has a 4 speed and and what looks like.The wiring for a 4 speed.. I have no documentation to prove it so the Mystery Continues deciphering wires.

I will try clean up the wire a little bit to get a color.. It is a 4 speed now, but was an automatic, I believe?
