'66 Barraduda front suspension won't adjust down one on side

Given these cars flex, I would place the stands where most probably do at the innermost beginning of the front/rear subframes and take a measure to the flat floor at the outermost 4 corners of the subframe structure.

'66 Barraduda front suspension won't adjust down one on side

Unless you had those stands at the forward most end of the forward subframe and the rear most ends of the rear subframe, then I would say you still do not know the condition. And the garage floor must be flat (in a plane) and your jack stands the same height. Another possibility is your vision...

'66 Barraduda front suspension won't adjust down one on side

If the car sits level in the back but not in the front, then the car body itself is likely tweaked. Imagine the car as a solid flat plane. If one side of the plane is higher in the front, say on the left side, then the right rear should be lower.

    Sunvisor brackets for '65 Barracuda

Hi Bob. Can I ask where you bought those from? Thanks.

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

At least on my '65, you could just leave those corner trim plastic pieces off and never know it. Each side on mine has 2 holes same size as "vent" holes in center. 4 more plastic plugs matching center plugs and you are good to go. I have not yet decided on mine as it is disassembled. I think a...

    Accelerator pedal question - 65 Barracuda v8

Yeah, I bought the same replacement pedal, no pad. My original is still in the car. The wear pad on mine fell on floor at the race track. I bummed some silicone off a helpful racer nearby and slapped it back on. Made the next round which I probably lost. : ) The pad is still on there today.

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

Bob - I now am confused on this fresh air ventilation in my car. The "slots" I incorrectly referred to above is only one slot on the pass side metal trim. I now believe that slot was for the optional rear window defogger. In the absence of that defogger, I am not clear whether it provides an...

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

Mine appears to have the "Interior Fresh Air Ventilation" through slots shown in the "65 Cuda 340" picture. On top of the side metal trim on each side under the big window. FWIW.

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

All interesting. My Barracuda does not have those slots. Plastic plugs are out on mine now and you can see the color change I did to my interior.

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

No, I do not think so. I think you have something different as yours are exposed to the interior as I see in your picture.

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

I can tell you there was never an intended vent in this location on my Barracuda. Nothing when the rear bulkhead is closed. There are some elongated slots inside this frame channel you can feel thru the rear rubber flaps. They are not exposed to the interior however. The plastic plugs I...

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

Bob, my '65 Barracuda does not have elongated slots in that area as does yours. Instead of slots, mine has 4 round holes (maybe 1" dia.) in that center area. They are plugged with round plastic caps which snap into the holes. While mine has the same plastic covers as yours in the corner areas...

Paint on rear window chrome pieces, '65 Barracuda

I had this '66 piece replated for my '65. The pits are still there. I didn't use any primer. I probably just cleaned it with lacquer thinner and used lacquer paint. I think I actually silver painted the fin area and wiped the top. A thick grease is your friend where masking tape can't get it...

    Removing my 273 engine

Wow, good for you! I remember that being really tight in my '65 Barracuda. I've run a Lakewood blowproof bellhousing for a long time and, in my case, that center link needs to come out. If you can, I would reinstall engine and trans together. It is much easier to mount the trans to...

Nice job and beautiful car. Did you remove the center link?

    Removing my 273 engine

Whatever method you try it is an adventure. You can even do it at 4:30 in the morning like me. : ) I used to pull the A833 first by laying it on my chest. Sucked but not too difficult. From there I always pulled both engine and trans together. And yes, I think I always removed the center link. A...

65 Barracuda front fender emblems placement

JD - I'm having trouble getting decent photographs of the pass side as I am pinned against a wall when trying to shoot. Here's what I got. Maybe someone else can get you better measures than I. Good luck!

Keith, your holes for the Commando V8 emblem also appear much closer to each other than mine. Are we talking about the same emblem? Here's a picture of my emblems.

JD, my '65 fenders are in primer now. Here's a few pics showing the Commando emblem mounting holes. My camera kinda sucks though.

    Fenderwell cutting templates !

It is hard for me to say whether your existing openings are adequate for the Hedmans. You pretty much need to take it a pipe at a time and see what they need. I separated #1 and #7 pipes from the 3 & 5 center pipes. Same on the other side. You can then fit the collector and see what it needs...

    Fenderwell cutting templates !

Not the best picture but look here where the collector ends. I probably have a 12" extension on the collector. The collector has to tunnel thru the rocker to frame bulkhead to exit where you see here. I connected street exhaust to the 75110's once (not side pipes), exiting in front of the rear...

Tar-like undercoating on 63 Valiant...any way to remove it?

Wow Jim. I stand corrected then. If I ever do another one, I'll have to try your method. Does it remove the paint also or just the undercoating? Thanks.

Tar-like undercoating on 63 Valiant...any way to remove it?

I used a propane torch. It is easy to control, you know when it is soft enough. I used a paint scraper when it was hot enough from there with some care. Gum-Out carb cleaner easily took the remaining residue off. I followed that with a zinc (yellow) Rustoleum primer and smoke gray enamel top...

Hedman 75110 fenderwell header cut out templates

Hedman 1-7/8's on my '65 Barracuda. I never received any templates. I agree with everyone else... cut as little as possible... slowly.
