    Magnum head drill fixture

I don't have anything that new and don't want anything that new. There's a big wa-wa-wa thread on another site about a 22 Durango with problems with U connect (whatever that is) and it's owner bitching about wanting to trade the vehicle in as a result. I've never seen this "u connect" and...

    Outboard question

How hard is parts for 50s/ 60s Evinrude? Need an engine gasket set, carb kit, and probably an impeller for a 53 fleetwin (7-1/2hp model 7512 ) and a fuel pump gasket, plus possibly a carb kit and impeller for a 63 18hp (model 18302 if I remember right)

    Yeah unfortunately they are from over there. Just like I wouldn't take a Toyota of any year or model even if free They may be assembled in America but the profits still go "over there". (Yea I know that isn't China but still a country where we have had major problems with);

    Head question ?

The aggravating thing when I built mine was that even with a 30 thou shaved on the block my pistons are still .180 in the hole, and that 70 thou shaved on the head combined I'm right exactly at blueprint spec of 8.4:1 CR. I didn't measure the actual deck height of the block, don't know if this...

    Head question ?

Yup to all but the ".120 max"... RRR had .150-something taken off a head and as I remember it still has standard length oem pushrods.

    Head question ?

Peanut plug heads started in 75, but hydraulic lifters didn't start till 81. I don't get why people associate the two with happening at the same time with the /6. That 77 head would be peanut plugs, but solid lifters. I have heard there was 1 "run" of hydraulic lifter engines in 78 as a "test...

    Head question ?

Your story sounds like the guy I got my newly machined head from , actually all it takes is a block off plate on that fitting on the back of the head. Not much difference in chamber design smog vs non. Other difference was that mine was a CL find not fake book My wife is the one with FB not me...

    Head question ?

Any paperwork? Who did the rework? Someone is always looking for a head, or you could either redo the original for a spare (these cars aren't getting any newer, more and more being sent to China everyday, and returning as who knows what (other than not being what it was sent over as) so...

1967 BH Slant6 w/ rebuilt 904 and Gear Vendor OD

I didn't think they started the BH series yet til '68/69ish? Small or big crank pocket? In 50-sone years it's hard to say what someone else has cobbled together?

    Old magnum MP cam info

...Mainly I'm questioning the angle it was ground on, I believe that towards the end of that cam being "an item" it was listed as being ground on a 119*. I thought I saw somewhere that it was really supposed to say 109*. Anyone have anything on it? And what application it would be "good for"...

    Stroke a 318

I'm thinking it'll be slightly under square, I'm thinking of doing one up for a 3/4 ton 80s truck. Tow pig.

Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

Red x time. He didn't say anything about a 360. Id find somebody to pull your original and have it gone thru... Unless it has a windowed block or something

    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

Don't know. Hard to keep track. But somehow I tied him to that car when I saw the thread. I did recently read the story about his older /6 valiant that went overseas. And I know that it wasn't all that recently that he had sold that one, it had been a little while ago

    Valve adjustment.......

I've honestly never had anything with a radical cam so I can't compare. I've always dealt with stock ot at "worst" an RV level cam in a /6 "just going by what I know/have experienced"for myself

318 head porting for the average joe

I have a set of 302 heads here on the shelf fresh from the machine shop (ok 3 years ago but still not mounted on an engine) and yes I plan to pull them apart this summer and clean them up, mostly just casting flaws and yes I'm gonna RUN THEM... On a 318, even. Tough. Not going speed master, not...

    Valve adjustment.......

People make so much about adjusting them as the old Chilton manuals said to do it(I believe this was the factory specified way too) like their afraid of them. Just fire it up, crank the idle as low as it'll go and still run, and go at it. I've done many of them like that over the years. I...

    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

I thought the green brick valiant was his when they did the buildup of it in the magazine. I do remember the older one when had with the /6 that went overseas too, though.
