    It is true I done it twice, be careful when mix matching ring gears and pinions, I had a issue using a early 3.23 gear set with a later carrier.

    Nope nothing, I’m surprised I had a drive shaft that was built to eliminate the b&t with a front u joint on it before, and put back the original drive shaft with a new boot and it’s actually smoother and feels great on the highway lol

    This worked for me and cost less than $20 bucks off Amazon. A split boot that allowed me install the boot under the car with the drive shaft still installed. Had to trim the boot down a bit, then trimmed excess metal at the clamp, and used gasket maker at the split. Really quick job

    Do you have a points distributor? Check your condenser and point gap, if you have pertronix check inside the distributor some times the two wire melt together, try jumping the ballast and see if that helps. I had a ballast that looked good but was faulty and head a bad connection.

    With big bolt pattern spindles I run a 15x6 with 205 70 tire 4.5 back space (didn’t like that widened track width) and a rear 255 60 15 tire, when I got the car it had 15x7 with 4 in bs 225 60 15.     Planning on putting some tube headers on it and a double pumper on it, currently has a 73 340 driver side manifold, and dakota passenger And a 1405 600cfm edelbrock, the damn thing runs pretty good under carbed but I know I’m missing some top end though....

    That is a for sure, it has the stock 68 340 pistons, I think I was at 185PSI with all plugs out and throttle open when I checked a while ago, I can check again

    Yeah with a timing light, the total I believe was set at 2600-2800 Rpms I have to find the curve specs, had it on a paper they gave me when I got the distributor recurved. I know it has a stock medium spring and a super light mr. Gasket spring. Some combo like this

    Oh ahahah my bad I got too excited, 18 initial checked at the balancer, and 10 locked in the distributor with the limiter plate, 28 total no Vacuum advance.

    That’s the best I could get it with out pinging, running on 91 octane.
