I haven’t installed it yet. Was trying to get interior done. But that extra inch should put it right where it needs to clear everything and arm will be parallel with the ground.
Do you know what bars you have and rear leafs ? Reason I ask is how is the ride that low. I’d like to get mine an inch lower, but if I lower the ft the rear will come up.
I also have a 68 how did you get it so low without touching the bumpers?
I’m at 26 1/2 and 1/2 of bumper clearance with .870 bars (892-3) 235/45/17 still getting it together so haven’t driven yet.
Actually there is 1 thing. When adjusting torsion bars do they have to be the same amount of turns? At the same # of turns RF LCA bumper is closer to frame than LF side by 1/8 to 3/16. Any thoughts?
I don’t know. Didn’t measure before hand. I was told it makes it a little wider. Rear hat to hat is 60’’ Front is 58 3/4 now. My b body rear was 54 1/4 flange to flange. Wish I would’ve gone 1’’ taller in the rear, like a 255/50/17 but a lot more options with the 255/45/17s.
Also did 65-67 b body with disc brakes. Rotor hat to hat is 60’’. Stock leaf location.
Went inexpensive route American Racing TT2 17x8 5.5 bs 255/45/17
1/2 from tire to lip and 1 1/2 from tire to spring.
Fronts 73 + disc brake same rims 5 1/2 bs caliper to the rear Hellwig sway bar and...
I think the weight difference is greater. CI is 10 lbs. Aluminum can’t be more than 3, but I don’t have one to weigh.
Please check with any contacts you guys have, someone got to have some of these.
This is what I’m installing. So now to find the brace and support. This is around 18 lbs hanging out there so it make since. If the master was aluminum it would probably be fine.
Anyone have them ???
