273 is not easy engine to get HP out of, I run one in Stock and it has been a challenge to make it go fast.

How many CC's are the combustion chambers? i don't see how you can get 11.8-1 comp with Icon pistons and stock stroke.

From my experience, just working the chamber and nothing else on a set of Edelbrocks that are on my daughters 340, the flow pickup is really good.

In my Stock Eliminator Cuda, i use a pressure switch, that is the only way to go, you can adjust the switch, and you would have to be in a really bad situation, to activate the the 2 step at the big end.

I prefer the oversquare myself, bigger bore makes the heads happy.

We finally got back to the track on Monday, with the daughters 65 Signet, i got to drive this time, and i weight more so not as fast, but the new tires and fuel pump worked great. 1.43 sixty foot with a 10.72. not bad for a pump gas 340.

Depends of what leaf springs your going to use also, Super Stocks vs Calvert springs would be different angles.
