Testing a booster to see if it holds vacuum is only part of the testing. All boosters have some type of modulating valve. The MV 'feels' the pedal pressure & adjusts the output pressure accordingly.

For earlier intakes you can buy a replacement housing (straight up style) from NAPA and it comes in cast iron instead of aluminum which is much less prone to warping.

Hi Dwayne, no unfortunately not. I´m pretty sure the weather now was not as good as back in fall of 2023 when it ran the previous best. It seems i had too big expectations, have to tune the new combination to reach full potential.

Use Real Gaskets silicone gasket. Don’t over tighten and sand the mating surfaces flat.

I talked myself into building a hotter 318 in my truck because of a knock just to find a cracked flex plate when swapping the two engines. It needed replacing anyway, is what I told my wife.

That 406 seems to be in the same ballpark as any 408 we generally see. Would of been nicer if the 448 and 406 had the same heads.
