oh no, no, sir. the refund would be contingent on the aforementioned terms. however, if he didn't like the wait time to remove the feeback? he's more than welcome to take delivery of the valve cover and do with it as he chooses. i ship with a personal touch, so i'd probably include a...

if i were in your shoes, i'd happily refund him if he rescinded the negative feedback and made a public apology. if he isn't open to those terms, i'd still refund him, albeit begrudgingly. however i'd sleep well knowing that i have his address on file. it's shockingly easy and ridiculously...

    What is this?

that's your porportioning valve/metering block with the safety switch. judging by the condition, it's probably trash inside. they're generally bolted to the frame or lower apron. it would help tremendously if you told us what car you're working on as well.

    Nicks Garage 383 build

not necessarily. but if he takes out the trash, cooks, employs foot rubs and doesn't leave the seat up then he's probably a star. wait, what were we talking about?

Question about 7 1/4" rear end differences

the darth vader helmet drums were typical to earlier 10" 8.75's and some 7.25's that got 10" drums. you can swap stuff around, but you need to keep all the pieces matchy-matchy.

Need some help on pulley sizing

doesn't flowkooler spec out specific t-stats for their set up? i know that stewart performance has a pretty good reputation but in this instance i'd 100% defer to their expertise. i do know that you really need a "high flow" t-stat when running a high flow pump. i personally have never been a...

you make a very valid point (on both matters). however, i guess i'm the type of person that if i'm spending that kinda money i'm gonna verify myself before pulling the trigger. i think the bigger lesson we've all learned here is how to approach ads both as a buyer and as a seller. and, to a...

Need some help on pulley sizing

my mantra: trust but verify my other mantra: death by 1000 cuts you have all the pieces, and this should provide adequate cooling. but maybe you've got a little off the ledger across the board: radiator is partially clogged internally or externally, t-stat wasn't working just right, pulley is...

question: in your initial communication did you explicitly ask what slant models it fit? did he expressly say that it fit a specific model?

unless your experience is buying or selling with the person then i don't see how that has any concern with the situation. sure, you don't like the guy's disposition or personality but that doesn't mean he lacks integrity.

Need some help on pulley sizing

it looks like you've got all the i's dotted and t's crossed with that set up. i'd circle back and try another t-stat. maybe the one you got was faulty in some way-- just because it's new doesn't mean it's any good. from there another possible is that the thermostatic clutch isn't performing...

Need some help on pulley sizing

put in a thermostat and see what it does. and get a decent one for cripe's sake, not no vato zone special. also more directly, i've asked twice: running hot> on the factory gauge, aftermarket gauge, or with a IR temp gun? boiling over?

Need some help on pulley sizing

those radiators seem to be well regarded, but i don't know enough about them to make a call one way or the other. the fan/shroud and clutch are solid choices. what's the water pump, how close is the fan, t-stat? when was the last time the block was flushed? running hot> on the factory...

Need some help on pulley sizing

on the most basic of terms you have a problem with water flow or air flow (or both), or your radiator is inadequately sized. so maybe it's a little bit of all three converging into a perfect nexus of overheating. and what's overheating? stock gauge is pegged up hot? aftermarket gauge is...
