Some pretty rare A bodies came out to our club lunch

Thanks! That's my '65 Fargo D100, with 313 Poly and dash mounted shifter. It was my grandpa's when I was a kid, he sold it and I searched about 30 years for it. Just bought it back about 2 months ago. That paint is 25 years old!

Got my Papa's old '65 Fargo back in the family

A few of us met up at our weekly Tuesday night beach meets in Qualicum, good showing of Sweptlines! The orange '71 belongs to my friend Wayne. It's on a '92 Dodge 4x4 chassis, with a 4BT Cummins from a piece of machinery. It was originally a 383 auto, with factory A/C. On the other side of...

Got my Papa's old '65 Fargo back in the family

Yep, at first I thought, "Oh no... I have some super oddball power steering, where will I find parts for it when it fails?" Glad it's something that they pumped out a million of. I have the push/pull power steering on my '73 F250 4x4, and yep, it sucked to rebuild.

Got my Papa's old '65 Fargo back in the family

I looked closer at the power steering, it's a Toyota conversion! Looks like an early 80s Toyota pickup box. I've seen the conversion done on 60s Ford trucks, I guess someone did the same on this. It works fine, I have no reason to pull it out.

Got my Papa's old '65 Fargo back in the family

It was painted about 25 years ago by the guy who bought it from my Papa. But the drivetrain is all original, as well as the interior.

Got my Papa's old '65 Fargo back in the family

Not an A body but thought you guys would appreciate this... Long story but I'll try to keep it short... when I was a kid, my Papa (grandpa) owned a '65 Fargo. Everyone in the family has a close memory of him and that truck, and he sadly sold it. It was the one truck we would all say, "Too bad...

    1958 Dodge

Yeah, the Canadian Dodge's were built that way, a Plymouth body with a Dodge nose. Except mine isn't one of them, mine is actually a Plymouth body and supposed to have a Plymouth nose, you can see it in the first pictures. But I was missing most of the parts so I put a Dodge nose on the front...

    1958 Dodge

Build it exactly how you want to, don't listen to the BS about how you should have done it this way or that way. I painted my '58 Plymouth 2 door wagon outside, in the dirt, with a spray gun and left over single stage paint from my '65 Valiant (the cheapest single stage paint I could buy). Not...

Saving another one - '62 Valiant

I sold the '62 Valiant today, I didn't even get a chance to list it for sale. A guy in our car club saw it down at the beach spot that we meet up on Tuesday nights, asked me to wait on listing it. Came by today and said he'll buy it. He's out doing the bank run right now.

Saving another one - '62 Valiant

Thanks for the suggestion! I drove it down the street today to see what it would do, it sure feels like it has short gears! It was in 3rd gear by the time I hit 20 MPH. Got home and the rad sprung a leak, fixed it with some solder and a 7 LB rad cap. Also one of the trans cooler lines was...

Saving another one - '62 Valiant

Got it pretty well wrapped up as far as I want to take it. I'll list it for sale in a week or so, after I've driven it around town to make sure everything is good. I cleaned the interior, the door panels cleaned up nicely, with exception of the drivers front door panel which was already...

Just waiting on wheel cylinders, brake hoses, an oil filter and some other small parts to arrive (should be today). Saving another one - '62 Valiant

Had to put in an ignition switch as someone previous had drilled it out and put in a pushbutton to start it, what a pain! I'm a huge Mopar guy but what a stupid design. Had to remove the gauge faceplate, but the screws were rusted, so had to drill those out. Then the ignition switch is held on...
