I FINALLY Found Something That Would Clean the White Letters on my Radial T/A Tires!

Over the past several years, I have Comet, Soft Scrub, Bleach and several products that claimed they would clean the white letters on my tires. Today, almost out of desperation, I tried some Black Magic Bleche-White Tire Cleaner. I got it at O'Reilly's Auto Parts for only $7.50. It worked great...

I've done that. Do you have air shocks and shackle lifts? What size tires? I'd like to see a picture.

Who's running the same size tires front and rear

Crap. Good eye! I did not notice. This is an old picture with 235/60/14s all the way around. GOOD EYE. They were mounted on Cragars that are, I believe, 6" wide. A few years ago I put 205/70/14 Radial T/As on it. I regret swapping away from the 235/60/14s.

Who's running the same size tires front and rear

So when the Designers at Chrysler put staggered tires on the 1970 Challenger T/A and the Cuda AAR, were they (and all the people who bought them) living in the past and trying to recreate their lost youth? That makes about as much sense as the 'discussion' I got into with someone the other day...

Looking for bulbs for 69 Barracuda hood mounted turn signal assemblies.

Thanks, Mike. I literally just found the answer before I saw your post. I looked in my 69 Plymouth Service Manual and found that the proper bulb was a 330 Mini bulb. I did a Google search for them and found them on Amazon. They look right. I ordered a 10 pack for $10 with free shipping. I will...

Looking for bulbs for 69 Barracuda hood mounted turn signal assemblies.

I have a 69 barracuda with hood mounted turn signals. I am having a heck of a time finding bulbs for them. There are no bulbs in them now, so I don't even know what they look like. They are quite small. Can anybody help me? Thanks, Mike

I finally got my hood painted.

A few weeks ago, I posted a thread that basically said, “oh no what have I done?”. I had about six flaws in my hood, so I decided to fix the flaws, sand it down prime it and repaint it. I had some paint left over from where I painted my car. I finally got it done. It came out pretty good.

    MF'r I am broke

LOL. My father-in-law had a record from the 40s with some risqué songs on it. I remember a few lines from one of them: Woodpecker, Woodpecker out in the yard, Tell me how you keep your pecker so hard.

Intake (heat shield) and metal gaskets?

Funny thing; you'd be surprised how few young kids nowadays know what clockwise and counterclockwise is. I have been watching some YouTube videos lately where a young kid (24ish) goes around on college campuses asking students BASIC questions like how many minutes in a quarter of an hour? (most...

    How to

And even if it was a 68 or newer, the numbers on the engine and transmission either match or they don't. You can find and buy distributors, carbs, manifolds, etc. with the right part numbers and dates, but the numbers on the engine and transmission either match or they don't.

    Wheel lug hack.

Well, here is what I do. I turn the drum/rotor so that a lug is at the very top (12:00 position). Then I set the wheel in front of the drum/rotor so that a wheel lug hole is at the 12:00 position. Then it is much easier to lift the wheel straight up and slide it over the lugs.

How much would you pay for this 340?

IF the crank rotated, I would pay $500 MAX. And that would still be a gamble.

First time using an airbrush. I liked it.

I am 73, and I used to build models when I was a kid. A friend of mine is into building models big time, and he wanted to build a 69 barracuda model and try to make it look exactly like my 69 barracuda. So I got an Iwata airbrush and a small airbrush compressor from Amazon. I have a 1/18 diecast...

    When is it whining?

OK. You are NOT whining. But you have to take charge of the situation. Go to the shop and demand to get your and your transmission back. Threaten them with small claims court if you have to. They should back off on that. From what you have said, they know they will lose. Then contact Brewer's...

Maaco vs Mexico: The Hunt for Affordable Paint & Body

I helped a friend restore a rough 65 Impala SS 396. He bought PPG BC and CC paint. I sprayed the door jams, backs of doors, back of hood and back of decklid. Then I helped him assemble the car. Right before I was ready to paint it, his wife said something that pissed me off so bad that I just...

Of course. The Iwata airbrush wasn't, but I doubt you could find a small airbrush compressor that wasn't.

LMAO at the poor English in compressor manual

I have not built models since I was a kid. I have a friend who is into building all kinds of models big time. He convinced me that we should build at least one model together. I have a 69 Barracuda 340 4-speed fastback car, so I found a 69 Barracuda model and bought it. I have paint left over...

Hey, @RenVill, don't be discouraged. I meant it when I said I was impressed with your fabrication skills. You should definitely work on a second version. I always thought some nice-looking louvers would look sharp on my 69 Barracuda Fastback. When you start your business, Make them for my car.
