How do those temps look for a 4 day race weekend

John, if my car was done I wouldn’t be going to this race. Way to hott. It just becomes not enjoyable at some point. And those temps are it. Happy Father’s Day by the way

One step closer to 540 build

We are finally getting close to my 540 being ready for assembly. After the block and heads were at machine shop over the winter, the block main housing bore was successfully repaired along with opened up to 440 mains. The block was then square decked and finish honed with torque plates. The...

Dads Hemi Roadrunner finally making it to the track. I know not an A-body but it’s still exciting.

Just some nice photos with the beautiful sky in the background. From some angles the hood isn’t too bad lol. Still can’t wait for the 6 pack hood to go on. After going over all the time slips, it seems so far, we gained 1 tenth and 2 MPH goin from the 540 to the 572.

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Awesome. I’m sure once you see some good video you will make some good adjustments.

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Just as important as the 4 link setup is the shocks the car has, AND the coil over springs. Too stiff of a spring is no good because it won’t allow the 4 link to do what it’s designed to do. Too soft of a spring will cause grief as well because there will be too much stored energy in the...

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Ya video will be able to help you determine. But in addition to video, you do need drivers perspective as well. Cause there’s things you won’t see in the video but you feel in the car.

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Before you ever decide to make any changes Les, you need video of the car from the SIDE. This is so you can see what the suspension is doing at the release of the trans brake. That will help you make decisions on what to change on the 4 link, if anything. This is also important when tuning the...

Next up Mopars vs the World

Ya the Quaker big bucks race is nice to go to. Wish we were goin there and hey who knows maybe weather drives us to Quaker. I just know right now it’s hard for me to go anywhere out of town being that my daughter is so young. Keystone is just easy cause it’s so close.

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Oh boy Les. This will get interesting and very long lol. I would certainly watch some videos such as posted above from Tim Mcamis and Kevin Wilson both are awesome to watch and break it down nicely. I would also read some articles first.

I personally love the announcer. Ya he makes mistakes sometimes but he did keep calling them and I find him funny.
  22. 71Demon528

Beautiful day at Keystone Raceway Park.

Absolutely, and they still did their 15 minute track prep in between rounds and still got it done early. Typically on points days from what I’ve noticed, if there aren’t breakages that hold things up, and they start time runs on time, they can get things done relatively quickly.
  23. 71Demon528

Beautiful day at Keystone Raceway Park.

Don’t be sorry, we all had our hands full, I barely got to hang out with Tim and Gene in their pits. I was focusing on helping my dad all weekend so I get it. Can’t wait for us to all get back out there again soon.
