Check everything incl. grounds, and the dimmer switch on the floor is usually bad if not replaced. Brake lite switch under dash that works off the pedal check it. I hate wiring!!!! Especially when a yahoo had his hands on the car, aka "boy racer".

Some FB Marketplace car forums are full of scammers! But most of the guys on those forums are straight up good people! Just do your research!

Every hose I found required the vent bolt hole to be bored out to 9/16 which I did. I did use the 75 Maverick, the later one and it works. Bought the same hose, same manu. from rock for about $9 instead of $35.

I bought this Lancer (170 model) about 12 years ago, did the body/paint and it has sat. It has now got a few bubbles here and there. Pretty solid car in general to say the least. Complete car, 3 on tree, was 170 c.i., now 225 goes with and also a A230 3 speed manual plus the original 3 speed...

^^^ I agree, but I dislike the 73 up interior plastic, the tiny inside door handles but yes it can all be done. 5 mph bumpers are so UGLY on any car!!! Those thin bumpers make the early Dusters!! Decent project/builders have got hard to find around here and silly asking $ and always too darn...

Even back in back wood Missouri, GOOD 340's would bring $1000 up 20 odd years ago, easy, if std. or a good .030. The wore out ones at .060 were not wanted period. Like said, a guy needs to be able to measure the taper in the bores and look at what he is buying. Its still a crap shoot sometimes.
