    Rear Brake Drums

have to drill the drums. big bolt brakes don't fit re-drilled small bolt alxles. better off just getting the right axles in my opinion.

Heads up to those that install a 2 bolt aluminum master cylinder.

Heads up to those that install a 2 bolt aluminum master cylinder.

certian master cyl do not need the new push rod. they are drilled shallower then the original master cyl. the adapter plate makes up for the difference so you can use the stock push rod.

Help me decide - Big or small bolt pattern?

i prefer large bolt pattern. change the front and rear over. at the very least i prefer the larger rear drums over the tiny small bolt stuff. i'm running 11" drums in the rear.. plus its easy to go to rear disc if you ever wanted.. not sure if there is a small bolt rear disc kit out there...

Can I use DOT 5 in this MC?

if someone is worried about that then just bleed the brakes every spring and be done with it. i have been running dot 5 in our dart for close to 10 years now and haven't bled them or had any issues with them.

    Check flares on preformed lines!

that blows. one fitting though. im sure if you called them they would have made things right. i did my entire red express truck with inline tube and man did it fit nice. had maybe one or two small leaks at first but a partial turn on the fitting with a good line wrench did the trick. on...

Thoughts on Drum to Disc Conversions…

for something that doesn't have many options maybe. i had a 65 d100 that i bought scared bird stuff for because it was the best option for it at the time.. but with a big bolt abody mopar the factory 73-up stuff is a much better option and plentiful...

    my manual brake experience

I used a alum master from a 85 diplomat, AR engineering adapter plate and stock abody brake rod. The alumni master cyl has a shallower bore , the adapter plate makes up for it so the stock rod fits perfect.

    my manual brake experience

I don't know. Our dart Has manual brakes (disc in front and 11" drum rear) and that thing stops awesome. Maybe you have something mismatched. With lower vacuum maybe you should go hydro boost.

    73+ Caliper install

73-up cars use a different k-frame and sway bar all together so no the calipers on those are fine in front.. and no there are no geometry issues swapping spindles side to side.

This a big bolt kit? If so they can go in any location. Most will put them to the rear in order to clear a sway bar.

    NEW BRAKES....DOT 5?

been running DOT 5 in our dart for close to 10 years now.. no issues.. rusty is correct that it does not absorb moisture.. this usually means that the moisture will collect at the ends (wheel cyl and calipers) if that worries you too much just bleed them in the spring and fall and it will...
