Dynomax Super Turbo interior sound levels

I have the same mufflers with a TTi 2 1/2" dual exhaust, H-pipe and stock manifolds in my '65 Barracuda with a stock 318 and a 600 cfm Edelbrock on top. They are not just loud, but also pretty boomy when accelerating at certain rpms. I put in sound deadening which help a tiny bit and I also...

[WANTED] Edelbrock throttle shaft and electric choke

I'm looking for Edelbrock throttle shaft with lever and electric choke for cheap. I bought an AVS 500 cfm carb of a member here, but the throttle lever was cut off and the choke was missing. I think these parts are pretty universal among Edelbrock carbs, I know the parts of a 1406 Performer...

So I finally got my new vacuum gauge and I'm getting around 20 inches of vacuum! I've been chasing a non-existent vacuum leak and it turns out it was just the gauge. :BangHead: The vacuum still fluctuates a bit and according to this chart I might have a sticking or burnt valve?!

I had no idea that I've been on FABO for 10 years! What a great site. Anyways, that photo was from the day I bought the car in 2009. This is what Salma looked like 10 years ago: But yeah, the car has come a long way. I guess I've touched almost every single bolt in this car at some point...

I went to Spring Fling again last weekend and despite the weather I'm glad I did. So many rad Mopars! My favorite thing about Spring Fling is usually the swap meet. Never spent this little money and scored this big. The rare Kelsey Hayes gravel shields were 10 bucks for the pair and...

    Spring Fling 2025

I'll be there Saturday with Salma Barracuda who turned 60 years old yesterday!

    65 Barracuda daily driver

Salma Barracuda is 60 years old today! Built in Hamtramck, MI on April 29th, 1965! Drove the car up the hill from my house to snap a photo of it and there was another '65 Barracuda in the driveway. I ended up chatting with the owner for probably an hour or so. Happy Birthday, Salma!

I've been driving the car without any issues lately. Didn't really do much to it other than fixing the ATF leak from the park lock cable. The cable had come to close to the exhaust and that melted the insulation. So I drained the fluid and pulled the cable out, put some high temp silicon tubing...

    64 Barracuda Rocker moldings

I used this type on my Barracuda. You have to trim them a bit, but they work well: Universal Moulding Fastener

Classic/vintage car as a daily driver.

I've been daily driving this Barracuda since 2009 with few exceptions. It does get a bit beat up from driving and parking it in one of the biggest cities in the US. I've been working from home for about 10 years, so I don't have a commute anymore, so that's one thing to consider. Three years ago...

The back seat is finally back in the car. Fixing the bottom piece took quite a while, because other than the stitching that had come apart and the patches I put on the corners, the fabric that the hog rings tie into had disintegrated. I hope some of the crinkles will come out once people sit on...

    New Daily Driver

Speaking of BMW - I sometimes miss my 325i that I had when I lived in Germany. It was definitely faster than my Barracuda haha. A lot of fun on the Autobahn!

Thank you again! I feel much better driving the car with the vent tube in place. That's a good idea for the seat spring, I might also try to find a rod I can bend with my tubing bender?!

    65 Barracuda daily driver

Many, many thanks to @JDMopar and @RAT ROD AL for their combined effort to send me a vent tube for free, which was missing on my Barracuda. I really appreciated that. Too bad I had to take half the car apart to get it in there. Oh well. I bought a used 500 cfm Edelbrock AVS from a local...

    Seat foam

I've done that on my 65 Barracuda and the foam appears way to large, but you just need to compress it to get the covers over it. It's not fun and you should wear gloves. I had blisters on my fingers when I got done. Unfortunately I used the PUI covers and they are falling apart (7-8 years later...

65 Barracuda - Seatbelt mount points?

The inner holes already existed and had rubber plugs in them. The outer ones I had to drill. Be careful not to drill through the brake line that's running in that area on the driver side.

Finally some rain in the forecast. So the car is safe and sound in the tinitest garage, that I'm very grateful for.

There are still new fires breaking out, but finally there is some rain in the forecast. It's amazing what these firefighters have been doing non-stop since the fires started. These helicopters are quite a sight!

Do you have the fuel tank vent line off this car? It should look like this:

Gas expanded and overflowed over night?

The gas station is just around the corner. I guess it usually doesn't happen very often that you put gas in your car (at night) and park it immediately.

[Found!] '65 Barracuda fuel vent line

This is one a member posted a while ago saying it came out of a '65 Barracuda. You can kinda tell by that chrome piece on the filler tube that goes through the interior of the car: This is one for sale on ebay for a 1963 - 1966 Dart or Valiant. It looks quite a bit different:

Gas expanded and overflowed over night?

The vent is definitely not plugged - it's in fact where the gas came out... Anyone have a stock '64-'66 Barracuda vent tube they want to sell?! There's a Valiant one on ebay right now, but it looks different from the Barracuda one, which makes sense, because the trunk is different.

[Found!] '65 Barracuda fuel vent line

I'm looking for a fuel vent line for my '65 Barracuda. It's missing on my car - there's only a rubber hose right now. It should be the same for 64-66 Barracudas, but the Valiant and Dart ones appear to be different due to the unique Barracuda trunk. Photo for attention only.

Gas expanded and overflowed over night?

I was wondering if that had ever happened to anyone. So it's plausible. I've been filling up the tank all the way (to the auto shut off) because I've been tracking my gas mileage to compare the changes I'm making to ignition, timing, carb, etc. I will remember to not fill it all the way at...

Gas expanded and overflowed over night?

So I looked into it and apparently gasoline expands 1% with every 15 degrees of temperature. I think it's an 18 gallon tank, so 0.18 gallons or 23.04 fl oz. It was 45 degrees last night and 65 degrees when it overflowed (not unusual in California "winters"). It was 20 degrees not 15 degrees...
