    Indy Aerohead

Bought these 4 or 5 yrs ago from a guy who bought them from Indy 22 years ago. still in the boxes they were shipped in. Have a decent idea what they are but looking for more info. Have a chance of using them. Indy tried but offered no solid info. Anyone have any leads ? Look like new . LA cast...

    Indy Aerohead

Probably the typical Aerohead rebuilt head, they usually came with new stainless valves, decent seals and springs good for .500 lift.

    New heads

I got heads for a 318 from Aerohead - a division of Indy, that came complete with 360 (1.88 valves in new seats) for very good price a few years ago. These were rebuilt factory 318 iron heads.

    Indy Aerohead

I have a 340 in my 70 Swinger that has Aerohead "J" heads. I built this engine back in 1998 or 1999. It is still going strong, and putting up with 6,000+ shifts occasionally!

    Indy Aerohead

If you use them, I would have them looked over by a local machine shop first. I bought a set of rebuild 318 heads from Aerohead from that timeframe and they were all messed up. While priming the engine I couldn't get oil to one rocker bank. The oil feed hole in that head was plugged. A...

could be a blessing in disguise. Might mean a playoff game they don't have to play in the subarctic Aerohead Stadium

You would be better served ordering up a set from Aerohead and breaking out the burrs.

    440 Source Head Opinions?

Rebuilt Non-906/452 Heads from Aerohead start at $499. That’s with bronze guides, SS valves, and HP springs. 906/452’s are $200 more. But if you add hardened exhaust seats, 2.14/1.81 valves, and the bowls ported and gasket matched...... you’re at $1137($1337 for 906/452). Pretty easy to get up...

    440 Source Head Opinions?

I had arrowheads on my 413 before the stealth swap, the stealth heads are so much better imo.

Amount of CFM available from 452 heads, heavily ported

It’s funny you say that. I had someone send me a set of those a while back that they had been running. They had opted for the 2.14/1.81 valve upgrade, but not any porting. The bowl cutter they used for bringing the bowls out to the appropriate size for the larger valves resulted in a very...

...were going to come back out with the LAX and the Max heads. And if I remember correctly she said yes they were. I see them listed on that Aerohead sheet. So I'm assuming that is a current sheet or they wouldn't have it out there on their website. But I will try next week to call since I got a...

    Indy RHS X heads?

Has anyone been able to confirm if they are still available from Aerohead? From Australia and was planning on getting a pair for a mild 318 as they are ideal and cheaper than eddies too.

360 head choices. What's everyone running?

    LA-X cylinder heads

Just called Aerohead Racing (the Stock Division of Indy) to order LAX Bare Castings and, indeed, they are out of stock... BUT, they should get more in about 6 weeks ! So, the LA-X Head isn't out of production. It's simply out of stock.

360 head choices. What's everyone running?

Any of those would work. I don’t think the “good” EQ heads are still available, nor the Indy LAX. The Aerohead heads I’ve had in my hands have left a little to be desired, but they are pretty cheap. If you have a good relationship with a shop that can look them over, they’re not bad as a...

2019 summer race.... Jadaharabi vs 318willrun

I have a 89 I think, 360 roller motor that came with la 308 heads on it. I have some aerohead 308s with 2.02 intakes I could put on it. All it would need is a bigger roller cam. The holley strip dominator might help it a little too.

    340 X head advice

Those heads need more than a pocket port. Indy's aero head 2.02 valve heads have about no throat cut done and flow around 203 cfm out of the aerohead box...in lamens... they flow less than an x head. You could take them to another shop and improve the flow just by means of a better valave job...
