I'm just curious why does it read 200* ? Old school SW gauges read the act temp, does that gauge have a 12V connection ?
My question is also what does the crank look like, was it polished, if not that is your problem. You have to get rid of the grooves for the lip...

Problems with them coming loose ? Are the rockers machined were the lock nut sets or are you just tightening them down on the rough casting.

No the T/A's did not have 4 bolt mains but they did have thick webs for 4 bolt mains if you wanted to install them.

Before you wire it up I would put it in and see if the steering wheel blocks any gauges maybe move the oil pressure next to the tach, more...
