Do 73 to 76 Dart Sport Fenders interchange with our 71/72 Demons

another big problem is a 71-72 demon dart has a fender extension and the 73-76 cars don't have one, it's all one piece. A body guy can make it work but it won't be right. So cut the front of the fender off, make a flange and use the extension? How hard is it to find a 4 door dart parts car...

Is there a list of option codes that don't get stamped on a fender tag?

Don't make a fake tag. You will make a mistake and it will be found out. Just say no. There are thousands of good fender tag reading folks out there. And there are more who don't know how do make one correctly, including some of the big name people offering the service! Yes generally it...

Tire shop over torqued lug nuts (1969 Dart). Should I redo it?

This is why I bought my own tire machine and balancer. Been 19 years now, I'm money and time ahead. Fix my own flats now also. No more trusting the monkeys with my nice vintage wheels. They are mostly lost out there.

Engine charcoal and spark plug bonks

Get a cylinder head casting number and see what year those heads are. Then see what plugs that head needs compared to what you have in there. Never know what's going on, they may have an oddball piston in #7 hole. Guys do stuff like that.

Engine charcoal and spark plug bonks

The BIG question not asked yet: How long has the #7 not been firing and wearing out the cylinder wall and rings from not firing. How long has it run to get that much sluge? Since you bought it? How long? Miles? Did you know it ran on 7 cylinders? 1) Try a shorter plug for #7 2) Clean out...

    Ideal Operating Temp

Cracks me up when the Six pack tuning questions come up and many swear it needs to be 195 or it will never run right. LOL I like a 160 stat and if it's 40 degrees outside I cover up part of the radiator so it will get to 170-180. But in the hundred degree heat it's nice having the 160 in...

    Mu1525-1 new clutch

Something is wrong there, it won't work out, must figure it out. Or it's a GM part sold for a mopar. Are you using the old bearing that fit the other clutch?

Engine is pulled - 273 rebuild or replacement 360 crate?

    Time for an upgrade.

Congrats that's a good deal. It has more A$$ than a 360 right now! 350 horses and 480 lbs of torque. A 1969 std 440 has a 187 pan, no baffles no windage tray. I used that pan in a 14.0 car and had zero oil pressure after the 1-2 shift every run. 1969 New Yorker had a one piece kickdown, it...

    old 318 compression problem

guys like this is why holleys are all screwed up when you buy a used one. Look how sooted up his carb is, serious tune problems on that vehicle. Doing that trick will open the secondaries but there is no accelerator pump and your old 318 probably won't like the lean condition it creates. Bog...

    old 318 compression problem

It doesn't have much power, that's the concern. Balancer marks way off, no the timing chain won't do that. Time it by ear. Advance until it pings and back it off 5-7 degrees. How does it run now? Does it get wide open throttle with the foot? Do the secondaries open? How much vacuum at hot...

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

440 has a lot of potential. Whenever I toyed around with a low compression 440 they are turds. They don't run hard. Night and day difference between a RV 440 and a 60's engine with compression. Even a 350 horse plain Jane will haul with a cam swap.

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

Those are nice pistons, just right for a low mile RV engine.
