I have the heads with hyd roller springs. Also, (out of curiosity and because I recently obtained much better tools for measuring volumes) I remeasured one of the heads today. I got 62 cc's. I trust that number more than the 60 I quoted earlier. Still below the advertised 65.

I bought the standard SM heads last year and the chambers on those only measured 60 cc's, not the advertised 65.

I bought a Milodon W/P 5 years ago and it was GMB also. Cost a lot more than the same part sold as GMB.

I've never heard a "max lift" number for the stock rockers. That said, they will be fine with the cam you listed. They are plenty strong!

I was originally planning a mild camed 408 for my Power Wagon. That has changed and they will eventually go on something more serious for my Duster. I plan to change the springs to whatever matches that build.

No problem! I've heard both bad and good about PIE. No telling what they sent you, but I would assume a SBC rocker.

If you had to raise them that high, something is out of whack. Could be the brand of rockers. That said, the stock rockers are pretty darn good.

Can you post some pics of how you have it set up? Also, which rockers are you running?

Find out what it cost to port the Speedmasters since you already have them. It might cost a lot less than a new set of Trickflows.

Also be sure to verify the zero on your harmonic balancer. After that, check and verify base timing, total timing and be sure vacuum advance is working.
