Johnson are good. Have them in my 6.1/426. No issues.

    Non MDS Lifters

Blackbird's Mach 4 is a solid roller. However, solid roller in a gen 3 increases the budget by a metric **** ton! No reason to go solid, the juice lifters are good to almost 8,000. That is with the factory valvetrain. Agree with wish4hemi on the Hellcat lifters. They are going to be the most...

    72 Duster 392/ 8hp70 Build

I don't have pictures, but, I did one in corporate blue. All the aluminum parts were done in DupliColor aluminum cast coat. Very nice for the natural aluminum look. Had a 6.1 intake too. So, a LOT of aluminum covering up the blue, lol! It does look good though.

    Transparts Warehouse

I use them a lot. Always online ordering, so, I've not talked to a real person. The parts are the same stuff you would get from a "regular trans shop". Those Alto silvers are great for stock to mild.

    360 2bbl circle track engine, what initial/total

What piston and cylinder head do you have? Old open chamber LA will probably have a different requirement than a closed Magnum style head. Did a stock stroke 360 for a USRA stock car a few years ago. Different animal than yours, yes. 10.5 with 318B EQ heads. Dyno tested, the sweet spot was 30...

    727 shops in central Mn??

Chuck Lofgren is in the twin cities area. I'm in the very NW corner of Iowa, so probably a little too far away. We do Torqueflites on a regular basis.

    Alternator wiring

As 67Dart said, they are two field alternators. The alternator pictured needs the pigtail that belongs to the alternator. Then you can splice your green and blue wires to the pigtails. Shouldn't matter which goes where. Earlier Magnum alternator had two small threaded posts, a large one for...

Got a favorite dog breed? Which one and why?

These buttheads are the same way as Beagles. Red Tick. Her name is Scamp, had her for nine years. Rescued her when she was three months old. Showed/trained her on the boundaries around the yard. Very good with people, very loyal, and even a little protective of property. When she was younger...

    LD4B plug questions

The one in back you are pointing to would be for a vacuum nipple for power brake booster. If no boosters, then plug it. The 1/8 pipe by the T-Stat is temp switch. Not sure the purpose of other threaded bosses.

What axel/ make cheap gasser/66 cuda

Econoline and A100 will be some of the narrowest I Beam style axles, I believe. It's actually pretty easy to narrow one. If you have the tools anyway.

What axel/ make cheap gasser/66 cuda

To add to the convo, this has an 8 3/4, 4.56 gear. Econoline has the 4 1/2 bolt circle.

What axel/ make cheap gasser/66 cuda

We used an Econoline on dad's 64 cuda. Narrowed it six inches. It's a forged piece, so, welding is no problem. Used a hodge podge of parts for front brakes. Factory hubs with Dakota 4x4 front rotors and fabbed brackets to use with the slider A body calipers. Used the Econo springs as well.

Caught a lifter not rotating before cam failure

Should be the very first thing checked before ANY assembly is started. Make sure lifter bores are thoroughly cleaned. Check cam and lifters for taper/crown. Install cam and lifters with cam sprocket lightly bolted. Lifters coated with light oil(WD40). They should slide down the bore very easily...

what bolts on an eagle 5.7/6.4/6.2 are torque to yield/one time use?

Fwiw, I've re-used oil pan bolts on every gen 3 I've done. I put a very small dab of blue on them and let it eat.

what bolts on an eagle 5.7/6.4/6.2 are torque to yield/one time use?

I'm guessing the people that sell these parts and cam kits are just covering their ***. I installed a TexasSpeed replacement cam kit on 2015 Ram 6.4. This came with new damper and cam sprocket bolts. I have reused those bolts on countless builds with no issues. With that being said, every...
