I'd just tuck the connector under the seat and not cut it. Mine are unhooked and do not sound the buzzer ('74 Scamp).
Dart/Demon/Duster for a fact will bolt in. Fender tag is coded for a Vinyl Bench seat.
Get a standard dash and cut the replacement pieces out of it.
