    I need help !

There are offset retainers/keeps that give you an additional 050 clearance that I have used years ago. I would not be comfortable with 020 clearance the way my boys drive!

Guys this is why you work on your car trailer

With the Drag Radials, we just drive them to and from the track (40 miles each way).

Guys this is why you work on your car trailer

About 15 years ago or maybe more the low ball / low cost Trailer Builders started putting on Junky Chinese Components including Axles. They have been a real nightmare for the trailer buyers in a couple years or less depending upon how much you use them. However, this junk cost less than 1/2 of...

Guys this is why you work on your car trailer

If needed I can get you an axle at my cost which is less than 1/2 of retail. I get to So Cal most every week consulting and I would enjoy see you! It is a 3500 Lb. non brake axle which is inexpensive. If you supply me the measurements, I have a lot of take off 3500 axles that I have switched...

What should cold lash setting be?

I know Stock Eliminator guys who run solids even if they are on hydraulic profile camshafts, they set them at .004 which scares me. I was just talking to a well know engine builder out of Arizona this week and I asked: Are you not scared of burning an exhaust valve for it being on the seat a...

    Family Legacy Continues!

Well Sunday Afternoon in the Team Competition, Logan went more rounds than anyone on his team in his age group class. He ended his day losing to the boy he beat in the Finals yesterday. We dialed him too hard. I can not figure out yet how to predict these little Dragsters. We are good with...

What should cold lash setting be?

Every Solid Roller that I have ever owned has wide acceleration ramp lobes. I have run lash from .016 to .030 with no ill effects ever last 60 years. I sometimes move the lash around as an experiment to see of the car wants a larger or small camshaft by how it performs on the time slip and...

CHEVY GUYS GET CAUGHT CHEATING AT INDY

They made special cheater pulleys with a large diameter although some did have correct number of teeth. Bigger the pulley on that end = More boost. they knew DAMN well they are blatantly CHEATING!!!! I know the Blackbird team are good people AND Devote Practicing Christians. Many times over...

    Family Legacy Continues!

I posted last month that my 9 yrar old Grandson Logan got his Jr. Dragster license, making him the fourth Generation of Irving Family Racing. Despite his inexperience we entered the Div. 7 Jr. Dragster Division Finals. We wanted to get him some seat time for next year. we did not expect to win...

CHEVY GUYS GET CAUGHT CHEATING AT INDY

It is a cold Damn Day in July, whenever Mopar gets a Even Break in NHRA racing!! I quit racing Prostock when NHRA factored the Crap out of the Hemis making it impossible to compete I quit Stock/Superstock for ten years when they factored our Duster 340 from 275HP all the darn way to 330HP and...

    727 dust shield

We run a bunch of National and Divisional races all over the Western US with at least four cars and if the was a need for us to use it, the National and Divisional Tech guys would have let us know.

    727 dust shield

We do NOT run the shields on our race cars and have not for 50 years. Never found an adverse problem from doing that.

    Fuel systems for drag cars

I run that pump on 450 to 500HP with no problems. Also old Mallory 140s that I have bought for $25.00 at the swap meet = Even still on our 10 second stockers. I still do on several cars. Mallory used to help me out with them 20 years ago in the good old days. I spend a fortune on our Dozen...

    Fuel systems for drag cars

My opinion exactly. I have seen a lot of Guys spend a real ton on complex systems on cars that do not justify it.

    Fuel systems for drag cars

I do not run a return line unless the car runs deep in the nines or faster. Never found anything on our Stockers or Superstockers.

    Fuel systems for drag cars

They Carter has work fine for use even @450 to 500Hp AN 6 works for us BUT beware cheap Chinese restrictive AN stuff as they are the Kiss of Death for fuel delivery!

World lost a great racer today

I have prayed for him since I heard a couple weeks ago. I have race him several times in Stock some years go and talked to him a couple times. He was a Christian Man as am I. Now praying for God's Holy Spirit to be his to be his family's comforter in their time of loss!

    This will be interesting

Jason is one of the best Stock driver to ever put on a Helmet. His entire family is top notch racers.

    How To Measure Fuel Volume.

I agree with above. I did not see carb combo posted. Could it be lean or perhaps too much timing (suggest 34 total to start at Sea Level). Both of those would be more apparent in high gears as RPMS increase. With the 26 tire or even 28 = It might be happier with 3:91 gearing I would be...

    Big block oiling mods

I have trimmed/modified motor mounts several times for clearance on these systems. If you could make it work = It would be worth the struggle.
  28. G

    Big block oiling mods

On a 6500 stroker engine = I still run a single line external lines as it is day and night more efficient. Engines are expensive to build, and now you can buy external line pieces from 440 source and other knock offs way cheaper than the original Milodon pieces. They are not high tech pieces...
  29. G

    Big block oiling mods

Just run the single line external set up alone. I run a dual line if I am intending to run over 7500 RPMs. I do not restrict any passages or increase the size of the main to the camshaft holes. We did 60 years ago but found zero benefit. Just the way we build ours for last 50 years.

    Drag racing can sure suck

Anymore I am just very happy to be at the track with family and Friends! Doesn't matter much anymore if I ever win a round.
